Miles Sanders, RB, Carolina Panthers | 63.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards
Miles Sanders was dealing with a groin injury heading into their Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
It’s hard to pinpoint how much that groin is bothering him, but his season low of 32 total yards on 16 total touches suggests it drastically impacted his efficiency.
His efficiency on the ground has been trending in the wrong direction this season.
Sanders’ yards per carry this season:
- Week 1: 4.0
- Week 2: 3.07
- Week 3: 2.67
- Week 4: 1.46
When you combine his efficiency and injury concerns with the fact that backup running back Chuba Hubbard outproduced Sanders on the same amount of touches in Week 4. It may be time to question Sanders’ feature back status in this Carolina backfield.
Then, throw in a matchup against a Detroit Lions defense that has only allowed 60 yards rushing per game on the ground, and you should strongly consider playing the under on his total yardage prop line for this contest.
Pick: Under
Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions | 53.5 Receptions
We’ll stay in the same game where Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is doubtful for this week’s game due to an abdomen injury, and dynamic RB Jahmyr Gibbs is questionable with a hamstring injury.
This should open the door for more looks in the passing game for Sam LaPorta, who has topped the 55-yard mark in the last three games of the season.
Pick: Over
Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins | 46.5 Rushing Yards
I’ll start this recommendation by asking a question…
Do you think the New York Giants will see a two-score deficit for a fifth straight this week against the Miami Dolphins?
My answer is yes. Since my answer is yes, it is important to know that the Dolphins have no issues calling running plays when they sport big leads.
In the two games the Dolphins have had a two-score lead heading into halftime, they ran the ball a minimum of 30 times in both games.

Whether you believe Raheem Mostert is still the lead back in Miami or not, if the Giants offense continues to struggle against the Dolphins, there should be plenty of work for him and De’Von Achane to top the 50-yard rushing mark in this contest.
Pick: Over
