The New York Jets are coming off their best offensive performance of the season in the 23-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quarterback Zach Wilson had his best game of the year, going 28-of-39 for 245 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. The Jets had big plays in both the passing game, as well as the rushing game.
Breece Hall had only 56 yards on six carries and showed that his explosiveness is back. His longest run was a 43-yarder that, if not for an amazing tackle by Bryan Cook, would have been nearly an 80-yard touchdown.
With two running backs averaging about the same carries, which Jets running back should fantasy football managers use?

Dalvin Cook’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Cook had another bad game for the Jets. He carried the ball only five times for 16 yards. There seems to be an explosiveness issue with Cook, as he does not have the speed and athleticism he showed during his time in Minnesota.
Through four games, he has 30 carries for 74 yards, averaging just under 2.5 yards per carry. His longest run of the season was a 10-yard run in the opener against the Buffalo Bills.
The Jets don’t have a great offensive line — that has been well-documented throughout the early part of the season. With those struggles at the line of scrimmage, the Jets need a running back who can make people miss, and that just isn’t Cook now.
Breece Hall’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Every week, Hall shows the pre-ACL injury explosiveness is back and better than ever. The run against the Chiefs was special, as he got into the open field and just took off.

In the opener against the Bills, Hall also showed his speed with an 83-yard run. Hall is currently second in the NFL among running backs with 6.6 yards per carry — only Patrick Mahomes (6.7) and De’Von Achane (11.4) average more.
Hall told the media that he is no longer on a snap count. The Jets said in the offseason and stayed true to their word that they would not rush him back. However, at 1-3 on the season, it is time for the Jets to go all out.
Which of the Jets’ RBs Should You Start?
In the PFN Consensus Rankings, Hall is ranked No. 21 while Cook is ranked No. 42, and that is absolutely where they should be.
This isn’t even really a question, as the clear-cut choice here is Hall. The former Iowa State star is looking like the guy the Jets expected him to be, and he is the unquestioned go-to running back for the Jets.
The Jets are going up against a Denver Broncos rushing defense that is currently last in the NFL (176 yards allowed per game). This is the perfect break-out game for Hall, and he is going to deliver in a big way. Look for Hall to put up a top-10 (potentially even top-five) fantasy week for running backs.
