Despite being Week 2 of the preseason, this will be the Steelers’ third preseason game of 2021 due to battling the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game. Meanwhile, the Lions take to the road for the first time this preseason. The Steelers come into Saturday’s game vs. Lions unbeaten, both in reality and against the spread. Their average margin of victory this preseason is 10.5 points. The Lions, meanwhile, suffered a 1-point loss at home to the Bills last week in Dan Campbell’s head coaching debut.

As for the total, the under cashed in the Lions’ preseason opener a week ago while the Steelers’ totals have split through their first two games.

However, in their most recent meeting, the Steelers trailed at halftime while allowing then-Lions QB Matthew Stafford to throw for 423 yards. A 97-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger to JuJu Smith-Schuster late in the third quarter eventually put Pittsburgh on top for good.
