Titans vs. Buccaneers | Current NFL odds, spreads, betting lines, and predictions

  • Spread: Buccaneers -1 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Titans +100, Buccaneers -120
  • Total: 35 (Over -110, Under -110)

The Buccaneers made a lot of noise about how we would see their starters in Week 1 of the preseason. And we did see them, just not for long. Tampa Bay ended up losing to Cincinnati, who played without Joe Burrow. Therefore, it is surprising that they are favorites against a Titans team who steamrolled the woeful Falcons last week.

The total at 35 is among the lowest of the week. Normally, with these two offenses, that might seem like a play on the over. However, both teams have solid defensive units, and we will see little from the starters on offense, if anything. The under very much could be the play in this one.

Titans vs. Buccaneers series history

The Titans and Buccaneers have faced off 12 times in competitive games. The Titans currently lead the series at an impressive 10-2. All 12 of those games have come in the regular season, as the two teams have never met in the postseason.

  • Titans 33-13 Buccaneers | 2003
  • Buccaneers 13-10 Titans | 2007
  • Titans 23-17 Buccaneers| 2011
  • Titans 42-14 Buccaneers | 2015
  • Titans 27-23 Buccaneers | 2019

In 2019, the Titans and Buccaneers played out a back-and-forth game. The Titans led 17-9 with just over a minute left in the half. The Buccaneers then scored 14 unanswered points to lead 23-17. In the end, the Titans finished with 10 unanswered points to win the contest. Another subplot to this game is that the Titans handed Tom Brady a loss in his final game as a Patriot in the 2019-2020 NFL Playoffs.
