Lamar Jackson is hoping for a dazzling campaign with the Baltimore Ravens in the 2026 season after missing the playoffs last year.
As the two-time MVP looks to pick up the pieces from a season that went nowhere, it appears one of Jackson’s critics will have to find a new home to play football after the Atlanta Falcons made some interesting decisions over the weekend.
Lamar Jackson Fans Have Their Say After Falcons Release Cobee Bryant
The Falcons released Bryant as the team trimmed the roster to 53 players. He will now hit the waiver wire, where another franchise can claim him before Atlanta gets a chance to bring him back on its practice squad.
Bryant signed with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent after not hearing his name called in the NFL Draft. If he clears waivers, the Falcons could still keep him around as a developmental player who already knows the team’s system.
While Bryant’s NFL future is uncertain, Baltimore Ravens fans had plenty to say after news of his release because of a social media post he made about Jackson last year.
Bryant shared an edited Snapchat image that appeared to put James Harden’s face on Jackson’s body. Though he did not share any captions, he seemingly compared the Ravens quarterback to Harden over playoff disappointments.
That is why Ravens fans had a good laugh after Sunday’s news.
“Same guy that [expletive] talked Lamar Jackson, btw. Something about Karma… It’s always coming,” a fan said.
“This that [expletive] that mocked Lamar, isn’t it?” one exclaimed.
“Lmao, how you talk bout Lamar but can’t even make the Falcons roster? Even Tua (Tagovailoa) made the roster,” one added.
Bryant is still viewed as an intriguing waiver candidate despite being cut, and his athletic upside and playmaking ability could make him one of those players. He recorded 10 tackles, including eight solo stops, in the 2025 season.

It’s safe to say that he has talent, but his unnecessary dig at Jackson is what made him a laughingstock following the news of his release.

“Made fun of my QB, now he can’t stay on an NFL roster,” one said.
“Talking all that trash about Lamar but can’t even make a roster is pathetic lol,” a netizen said.
Meanwhile, Jackson enters the new season after posting a 77.7 PFN QB Impact rating in 2025, which ranked 13th in the league. With Jesse Minter taking over as Baltimore’s head coach, there will be new challenges, but Jackson will be looking to help lead the Ravens under their new coaching staff.
