The Indiana Fever have racked up 26 wins this season and have also locked down a playoff spot. But for all the team’s success, it’s the sight of a healthy Caitlin Clark that has fans buzzing right now.
Moreover, her latest comments about her own fitness levels have sent the WNBA world into a frenzy.
Caitlin Clark Feels Good to Be Healthy on Court
After Indiana’s 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun on Friday, Clark sat down for her postgame media session, where The Athletic’s James Boyd asked her a question about how she was holding up physically at this point in the season.
Clark explained that this stretch has genuinely been one of the best she’s felt in her career, admitting that the opening chunk of the year was a real grind just to trust her body again.
“I feel really good… I feel probably the best I’ve ever felt in my career, and from a confidence standpoint too. Obviously, your rookie year is a different kind of beast when you’re trying to figure out the league and figure out where you fit on a team, and still do the things you can do…”
“So just continuing to do that, I think like it was a battle for the first 20 games for me to really find my confidence again, mostly in my body. Now, I feel like I’m just playing. I’m not thinking. I’m just like, ‘next play, next play, next play,’ and that’s when I play my best basketball,” Clark said.

As soon as Clark’s interview spread across the internet, reactions quickly poured in from fans and basketball followers.
Clark appeared in only 13 games last season after persistent leg, quadriceps and groin problems repeatedly kept her sidelined. Before those injuries disrupted her campaign, she averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. This showed just how much she could contribute when healthy.
A user pointed toward the difficulty of dealing with injuries in professional basketball, emphasizing how challenging it can be for any player to regain confidence and consistency after repeated setbacks.
“This is the part people don’t understand. When you have a season ending injury, coming back is the hardest part. It’s just as much of a mental and emotional battle as it is physical,” they wrote.

Clark is currently averaging 22.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. Against the Sun, she delivered another elite performance as she finished with 34 points and 12 assists.
One user simply suggested that Clark returning to her best form could be trouble for the rest of the league as the Fever head toward the playoffs.
“Scary news for the league,” they said, whereas another one wrote, “means more to me than anything that she’s finally healthy.”

One user went even further. They skipped the debate entirely and just declared that Clark is going to win the MVP award this season.
“Anyone who understands basketball knows that Caitlin is the season’s MVP,” the user said.

For Indiana, the timing could hardly be better. As mentioned before, the Fever have already secured their playoff place, and Clark appears to be entering the postseason with her confidence and physical condition trending in the right direction.
