George Holani is primarily a name to know if the recovery of Zach Charbonnet were to hit a major speed bump, but outside of that specific scenario, his path to meaningful touches is close to non-existent for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Should I Draft George Holani in Fantasy Football?
Rookie Jadarian Price is primed to be the featured back in this backfield in a way that neither Charbonnet nor Kenneth Walker was last regular season. Price is simply that talented, and the team’s investment of first-round draft capital gives them every reason to put as much on his plate as he is comfortable with right out of the gate.

Because of that top-heavy hierarchy, we still have very little clarity on what Holani actually brings to the table. He has logged just 28 touches through two seasons in the NFL, meaning we don’t really know what he is at the pro level yet. The run-centric nature of this offense certainly makes any running back on the roster a player of baseline interest for fantasy managers monitoring depth charts.

However, if the backfield were to become so severely depleted that Holani was forced to take regular reps, I find it likely that the coaching staff would pivot their overall philosophy and ask Sam Darnold to do more through the air rather than leaning heavily on an unproven secondary option.
Ultimately, Holani offers no standalone value and minimal intrigue on draft day. At absolute best, he projects as an emergency handcuff for Price only if Charbonnet were to miss extended time, something that none of the summer reporting suggests is on the table. He is simply not a name that you need to worry about drafting or holding on fantasy rosters this season.
