Jevon Holland didn’t need to take the field to make an impact against his former team.
After the New York Giants cruised to a 26-3 preseason victory over the Miami Dolphins, Holland made his feelings about the result clear with a short message aimed at his former team.
Jevon Holland Rips Dolphins After Giants’ Win
Holland spent his first four NFL seasons with Miami after the Dolphins selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He became an important part of their defense before leaving in free agency and signing with the Giants.
Because the Giants and Dolphins play in different conferences and are not scheduled to meet during the 2026 NFL regular season, the preseason matchup gave Holland an early opportunity to face his former team in a different setting.
Following New York’s dominant win, Holland took to Instagram Stories and posted a four-word message: “Big DUBS! [expletive] EM!!!”

Holland did not play in the game, sitting out as a healthy scratch along with several of the Giants’ regular starters. Still, his reaction immediately turned heads given his four-year history with Miami.
His move to New York marked the end of his run with the Dolphins, and the post-game message suggested Holland was enjoying watching his new team dominate his former one.

Dolphins Struggle in Preseason Loss
The Dolphins played out an absolute stalemate in their second preseason contest, struggling to move the ball from the opening kickoff.
Miami finished with just 102 total yards and three first downs, struggling to generate any consistent offense against the Giants. Their second-half production was even worse, with Miami managing only 15 net yards.
With several starters sidelined, the Dolphins turned to third-string quarterback Cam Miller and rookie Mark Gronowski. Neither quarterback could provide much of a spark against New York.

The Giants, meanwhile, built a commanding 20-3 halftime lead. Backup quarterback Jameis Winston helped produce four first-half scoring drives, including an 11-yard touchdown run, while Devin Singletary added a 13-yard touchdown.
New York’s defense also made life difficult for Miami. Defensive back Dru Phillips forced two fumbles, while a late muffed punt by the Dolphins’ return unit added to their frustrating night.
The loss came after Miami also fell 20-7 to Washington in its preseason opener, giving the Dolphins plenty to address before the regular season.
For Holland, however, the result provided an opportunity to celebrate a convincing win over his former team from the sidelines.
