The WNBA is under fire from basketball fans after leaving Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark out of an official social media post recapping Sunday’s game.
Critics slammed the league for failing to mention Clark’s 26-point performance, calling the omission a deliberate attempt to ‘rage-bait’ her massive fanbase online.

The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream put on an absolute classic on Sunday night, battling it out in a high-stakes, 95-91 overtime thriller.
Clark stole the show once again, putting up 26 points and 9 assists to power Indiana to its fourth straight win.
However, the excitement on the court was quickly overshadowed by drama on social media. Following the game, the official WNBA social media page posted a graphic highlighting top individual performances from the Fever-Dream battle.
It featured Allisha Gray, Kelsey Mitchell, and Angel Reese while completely omitting Clark’s stats.
Fans noticed the snub, and a wave of online backlash followed.
“ZERO mention of Caitlin Clark in the WNBA’s Facebook post. Instead, they glazed Angel Reese 🤣” a sports account on X wrote.

One X account straight up called the league ‘racist,’ writing: “The WNBA is racist”
Another drew a parallel between Jackie Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier while facing intense hostility, and Clark. “@CaitlinClark22 is the modern day Jackie Robinson of the WNBA,” they wrote on X.
One X handle accused the WNBA of self-sabotage by disrespecting Clark. “The WNBA obviously does not care about ratings or bringing in new fans, they would rather [expletive] on their golden goose,” they posted.

One fan alleged that the X post was made to trigger outrage, writing:
“Would you be posting this page if they had? All of these “controversies” have drawn more attention to the league than the play on the court ever has.”

Sunday’s game proved that Clark continues to drive performances on the court and conversations off it. While fans online jump to accuse the W of intentionally ignoring the Fever star in their post-game recaps, social media posts routinely fuel heated arguments.
As far as the basketball product is concerned, the win against Reese-led Dream pushed Indiana to a 23-12 record, placing them fourth in the standings as the final stretch of the regular season commences.
