‘Gets Worse Every Time He Opens His Mouth’ — NFL World Calls Out Puka Nacua After Rams WR’s New Comments Go Viral

Puka Nacua's comments in a recent podcast appearance drew a wave of criticism as NFL personalities questioned the Rams star.

Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua made it clear he has no love lost for Seattle Seahawks safety Julian Love. The NFL world had plenty to say about how he delivered the message.

Nacua recently revealed his beef with Love during an appearance on the “Impaulsive” podcast, saying the two are “not friends” after trading shots during games. He also revealed that he injured his face during Michael Rubin’s White Party this year and was left bleeding. His candid assessments quickly spread across social media, where some NFL personalities were far less amused by the rivalry.

NFL World Calls Out Puka Nacua After Julian Love Comments

Nacua called Love the “No. 1 guy” he does not like in the NFL and said the Seahawks safety has taken “a couple shots” at him during games. He also admitted he looks for opportunities to respond.

Jeff Simmons of Seahawks-focused Cascadia Sports Network was particularly critical of Nacua continuing to make appearances where his unfiltered comments can become headlines.

“I’m pretty shocked his agent or the Rams are not shutting this guy down from going on podcasts,” Simmons wrote Friday. “He gets worse every time he opens his mouth. To call Julian Love a bad guy of all people.”

In another segment on the podcast, Nacua revealed that at Rubin’s party he hit a “glass window pane,” but felt better when he realized “three other people ran into it” as well. However, the Rams star said, “But nobody else ended up bleeding from it. So I don’t know if that made me feel much better or worse.”

NFL analyst Marcus Whitman saw the news of Nacua bleeding and joked that the Rams star’s unpredictable nature could somehow derail a Rams team with legitimate championship aspirations.

“There are very few paths for the Rams to not win the Super Bowl this year,” Whitman wrote on X, before joking that Nacua doing something unpredictable in the NFC Championship Game could be one of them.

Gee Scott Sr. was even more direct.

“Don’t know if I’ve said this before, but THE RAMS HAVE A PUKA PROBLEM,” Scott posted on X.

Dan Hanzus also joined the pile-on, placing Nacua atop his hypothetical ranking of NFL stars most likely to “explode through a glass door.”

Jeff Sunday suggested that “The Rams should hire Mike Tomlin just to keep Puka Nacua from losing his (expletive) mind.”

Fantasy analyst Kev Mahserejian offered perhaps the harshest prediction, comparing Nacua’s trajectory to other receivers who became known for headlines away from the field.

“Antonio Brown ➡️ Aiyuk ➡️ Puka,” Mahserejian wrote on X. “His downfall is coming sooner than later.”

Rams-Seahawks Rivalry Has Even More Fuel

Nacua’s production gives him plenty of room to talk on the field. He led the NFL with 129 receptions in 2025 and finished with 1,715 receiving yards, earning the fifth spot on PFN’s Top 100 players’ list.

The Seahawks still got the last word as they eliminated Los Angeles 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game before winning Super Bowl LX. Nacua caught nine passes for 165 yards and a touchdown in that loss, but Seattle’s defense kept him in bounds on the Rams’ final play as time expired.

There will be opportunities for both sides to revisit the feud. According to Seattle’s 2026 schedule, the Seahawks host the Rams on Christmas in Week 16 before the NFC West rivals meet again in Los Angeles in Week 18.

Nacua has already supplied plenty of bulletin-board material months before either matchup. Judging by the reaction to his latest comments, Love may not be the only person waiting to see what the Rams receiver says next.
