Puka Nacua may be one of the NFL’s best receivers today. In fact, according to Pro Football Network’s WR Impact Metric, the Los Angeles Rams superstar was the NFL’s best receiver in 2025, recording a grade of 96.3.
While Nacua has earned a lot of fans, especially those favoring the Rams, he’s also developed a few haters over the years. Not surprisingly, one of them plays for a division rival.

On the field, it’s hard not to like Nacua. He’s developed into arguably the game’s best pass catcher despite arriving as the 177th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Yet, it’s a lot easier to root for the First-Team All-Pro when he’s playing for the same side. Division rivals see things from a different perspective.
Recently, during an appearance on the “Impaulsive” podcast, Nacua discussed his beef with Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl safety Julian Love.

“I think the No. 1 I guy don’t like, Julian Love over there, I think is his name,” Nacua said. “Plays safety. We’re not friends. He took a couple shots at me mid-game, and I definitely find my opportunities to get back at him in the game too.”

First of all, acting like he doesn’t know his name, even though it was right at the tip of his tongue, is a classic tactic used between foes. Nacua clearly knows who the Seahawks’ Pro Bowl safety is, because he faces him at least twice a year.

Either way, this gives Love even more reason to dislike the Rams’ two-time Pro Bowl receiver, providing bulletin board material the next time they match up.
Though it may not matter. The last time Nacua played the Seahawks in the regular season, he went off for 12 receptions and a ridiculous 225 yards to go with 2 touchdowns. That performance added to the 75 yards on seven receptions he already recorded on them earlier in the season.
In the NFC Championship Game, Nacua had another great outing against the Seahawks, with 9 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown.
In other words, Nacua may feel like he can say whatever he wants, and the Seahawks still won’t be able to shut him down. That’s the type of talent Nacua is.
Still, the Seahawks are the ones who are coming off a Super Bowl victory, not the Rams. That means Nacua still has something to prove, whereas Love already has the Super Bowl ring to prove that he’s a champion. Nacua’s still trying to get there, but he has as good a chance as any with this year’s Rams.
