‘Greatest Hall of Fame Speech of All-Time’ — NFL World Cracks Up As Adam Vinatieri Roasts Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Pat McAfee, Peyton Manning

The NFL world is in stitches after watching Adam Vinatieri present arguably the "greatest Hall of Fame speech of all-time."

After roughly seven years of waiting since the end of his playing career in 2019, Adam Vinatieri is finally enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While many may not have been expecting much from the kicker as far as speeches go, the former Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots Super Bowl champion delivered a performance to remember.

Adam Vinatieri Takes Aim at Bill Belichick, Tom Brady

Vinatieri must have gotten really into comedy roasts since his 24-year NFL career wrapped up. A good portion of his speech was spent roasting Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Pat McAfee, and Peyton Manning, all good buddies of the three-time First-Team All-Pro.

Yet, the crowd was eating up Vinatieri’s words like ice cream on a hot day. Social media? They were loving it. Pro Football Network’s CEO Matt Cannata even called it the “Greatest Hall of Fame speech of all-time.”

He wrote, “Adam Vinatieri with the greatest Hall of Fame Speech of all-time 🤣”

Vinatieri had some great jokes, including a playful jab at his eight-year teammate, McAfee, who, in addition to his punting duties, held the ball on Vinatieri’s extra points and field goal kicks.

Jason Ashworth laughed at Vinatieri’s comment about McAfee and wrote, “Adam Vinatieri to Pat McAfee: “You held my balls more than my wife…” 🤣🤣🤣”

Not only did the 53-year-old make spectators laugh, he also found a way to tug on their heartstrings too.

“Adam Vinatieri killing it with his HOF speech..emotional and funny,” wrote radio host Glenn Ordway.

His wit was so great that one commenter on social media even suggested the retired NFL kicker is a “comedian on the side.”

Another commenter agreed that maybe it’s time for Vinatieri to give stand-up comedy a try.

The Spun writer Chris Rosvoglou wrote, “Adam Vinatieri may want to consider stand-up comedy.”

Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press was quick to capture Vinatieri’s joke about his former head coach.

“Adam Vinatieri joked that Bill Belichick couldn’t be in Canton today because he’s ‘judging his girlfriend’s cheerleading contest.’ Adam adds that Bill is the greatest.”

Meanwhile, former NFL QB Chase Daniel was enjoying what he saw and heard, too. He particularly enjoyed seeing Vinatieri take some shots at Belichick and his youthful girlfriend. He loved the McAfee joke too.

“Adam Vinatieri on a rollllll! Acknowledging @PatMcAfeeShow here in the crowd…’The only person who loved to hold my balls more than my wife.'”

Daneil also said, “Nothing quite like Adam Vinatieri taking shots at Bill Belichick and his girlfriend during his HOF speech 😂.”

Daniel wasn’t the only one who enjoyed Vinatieri’s crack about Belichick and his girlfriend.

Clifford Taylor IV wrote, “Yoooo Vinatieri just FRIED Belichick 🤣.”

Another commenter agreed, calling Vinatieri’s speech an instant classic and saying, “Adam Vinatieri with an all-time speech 😂😂😂.”

Like a roast, it felt like no one who had anything to do with Vinatieri was safe. Even his former Super Bowl-winning head coach.

“Adam Vinatieri just roasted the hell outta Bill Belichick💀,” Gabe McDonald said on X.

But Vinatieri wasn’t done. He still had something left in the tank for his former Colts QB. The legendary kicker said, “Peyton, thank you for generously donating your forehead for today’s teleprompter.”

Vinatieri even had something left in the tank for former Patriots QB Tom Brady, jokingly calling Drew Bledsoe the “greatest quarterback in Patriots history” instead of Brady.

Armando Salguero reacted to the comment and wrote, “Vinatieri follows up saying he was fortunate enough to play with the greatest quarterback in Patriots’ history but unfortunately he wasn’t able to make it to the ceremony today… ‘Drew Bledsoe. Dude’s on a roll.”

Who knew Vinatieri had jokes like that? Fans would probably even welcome him coming back next year, just to help lighten up the crowd.
