Linda Nosková and Marta Kostyuk have established themselves as two of the top young players on the WTA Tour. Both players are enjoying breakout years in tennis and appear destined to continue their runs. As they get ready to face off in the Wimbledon semifinals, here is our lowdown on the two.
All About Linda Nosková’s Life and Career So Far
Nosková has quickly cemented her status as a rising star in tennis, earning several big wins in her fledgling career. The 21-year-old Czech native started playing the sport at age seven and announced her arrival on the tennis stage by winning the French Open girls’ singles title in 2021.
Born in a rural village in the Vsetín region, Nosková received immense support from her parents, Drahoš Nosek and Ivana Nosková, at the start of her tennis career. Her mother passed away after battling cancer in 2024. She moved to Přerov at age 14 to continue her tennis development.
Just two years later, she already had three wins over top-10-ranked players in her bag and made her maiden WTA Tour final at the Adelaide International. In 2024, a maiden title on tour followed, as Nosková won the Monterrey Open.
Going from strength to strength, Nosková reached her first WTA 1000 final at the China Open in 2025. She has continued that momentum so far in 2026, defeating Coco Gauff in Madrid and Jessica Pegula in the Berlin Open final.

Coached by her mother, Kostyuk made a big splash in tennis early on and reached the third round of the 2018 Australian Open at age 15, just a year after winning the girls’ singles title. Her incredible rise continued in the next few years, and a maiden WTA Tour singles title followed in 2023 at the ATX Open.
