‘A Lot of NBA Players Will Be Wearing These’ — Ex-NBA Guard Predicts Caitlin Clark’s Signature Shoe Will Be a Hit With Pros

Caitlin Clark's first signature sneaker is nearly here, and a former NBA guard already has a bold call on just how far those kicks will travel.

Caitlin Clark has spent three WNBA seasons borrowing somebody else’s signature shoe. That stretch is about to end, as Nike confirmed a sneaker and an 18-piece apparel line will hit the market on Oct. 1.

Former NBA guard Brandon Jennings already has a take on where Clark’s model is headed. He didn’t bother with caution or qualifiers and went straight to the boldest version of the claim.

Why NBA Players Might Actually Lace Up Caitlin Clark’s Signature Shoe

Jennings has watched women’s signature models cross over before, and he’s not alone in betting Clark’s debut shoe follows the same path.

Jennings didn’t hedge.

“A lot of NBA players will be wearing these,” he wrote after the reveal, and the prediction sits on firmer ground than it sounds.

Women’s signature shoes already have a home in the NBA, and the Sabrina line is the proof. The Sabrina 3 was the third-most worn shoe in the league during the 2025-26 season, per Kix Stats, and Steph Curry spent his sneaker free agency rotating through WNBA players’ models.

That’s exactly the crossover Clark is chasing.

Fever coach Stephanie White gets the pull. “It’s really cool,” she said, thinking back to her own pair of Sheryl Swoopes shoes. She noted how often the Sabrinas turn up on the men’s side and figures Clark wants that same reach.

If a Clark shoe performs and looks the part, no NBA guard would hesitate to lace up a pair carrying the most recognizable name in basketball.

Clark also joins a tight club: A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu both wear Nike signature shoes, while Breanna Stewart reps Puma, and Angel Reese has a Reebok deal.

Nike announced the Caitlin 1 alongside the Caitlin Signature Collection, an 18-piece apparel line, both of which are on sale Oct. 1.

The shoe comes in a blue colorway and retails for $140 in North America and $135 elsewhere.

Clark posted it to the same Instagram account she’d been teasing for days after swapping her profile picture to a shoe surface and her username to caitlin1.

Before the Fever faced the Toronto Tempo, Clark showed up in a royal blue, double-breasted blazer she called a vintage Alexander McQueen, with a white crop top and matching trousers.

The bracelets were the giveaway. They read “Caitlin 1” and the date “10-01-26.” Asked about them, she laughed and said, “Mark your calendars, I guess.”

The groundwork goes back to April 2024, when Clark signed with Nike for over $20 million, picking the brand over Under Armour and Adidas. She’d spent three WNBA seasons in Kobe Bryant’s models, with Nike building special colorways for her along the way.

The Caitlin 1 leans on what Nike calls performance tech built to cut drag and improve movement, but for Clark, the point runs deeper than sales.

“What excites me most is what this can mean for the next generation,” she said. “If it inspires even one kid to work harder or fall in love with the game, that’s what makes it special.”
