In Super Bowl 60, former Seattle Seahawks star Kenneth Walker III produced one of the most impressive showings by a running back in NFL history.
And if anyone was wondering if Walker watched some elite tape before the biggest game of his career (so far, at least), in a one-on-one interview, the reigning Super Bowl MVP revealed the legend who inspired the all-time performance.
Kenneth Walker III Reveals the Legend Who Inspired His Super Bowl MVP Performance
During a sit-down interview with DJ Siddiqi of Ratings, Walker was asked if he envisioned rushing for 135 yards and ultimately being the focal point of the offense on Super Bowl Sunday.
“I watched Terrell Davis the night before,” Walker replied. “He was the latest running back to be Super Bowl MVP. I definitely watched his highlights before. I just had a mindset of just going out there and balling whatever way I could. I ended up getting the ball and really being a focal point on offense.”
Davis, a Denver Broncos legend and Hall of Famer, was the last running back before Walker to earn Super Bowl MVP honors, doing so in 1998 after recording 157 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers. Walker, who admitted to watching Davis’ iconic performance, was clearly inspired, finishing with 135 rushing yards of his own.
Walker was just as impressive in the previous two postseason contests as well. Against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, he handled 19 carries for 116 yards and three rushing scores. He also added three receptions for 29 receiving yards en route to a 41-6 win.

During the NFC Championship, Walker continued to dominate, seeing 23 total touches for 111 scrimmage yards and a rushing touchdown. As the focal point of the offense, Walker helped lead the Seahawks to a 31-27 victory over the Rams.
Across the entirety of the postseason, Walker led all rushers in attempts (65), rushing yards (313), first downs (17), and touchdowns (4), delivering a dominant stretch when he and Seattle needed it most.
Walker Ready to ‘Ball’ for the Kansas City Chiefs
This offseason, Walker inked a three-year contract with Kansas City worth up to $45 million. The reigning Super Bowl MVP is set to earn $14.35 million annually, placing sixth among all running backs, according to Spotrac.com.
In the 2025-26 NFL season, Walker recorded a 68.7 RB Impact Score and ranked 16th among all rushers, according to PFSN’s RB Impact metrics. Comparatively, Chiefs free agent running back Kareem Hunt ranked 22nd, while former Chief and current Lion Isiah Pacheco finished 51st.

When asked about his goals heading into his first season with the Chiefs, Walker sounded ready to return to the playing field. “I would say with the team, just make a positive impact in whatever way I can. I would say for me, just stand on top of my routine, making sure I get this playbook down, go out there and ball.”
Walker is expected to provide a massive boost to Kansas City’s backfield entering 2026-27. Pairing him with Patrick Mahomes could prove significant as the Chiefs aim to return to contention.
