Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull have spent enough time together over the past two seasons to develop their own shorthand. The playful social media jabs, the shared laughs on the bench, and the on-court chemistry made the Indiana Fever’s backcourt one of the league’s most cohesive pairings.
So when Hull needed to announce her return to the Fever, she called in a familiar assist. In a TikTok video posted Saturday, Clark mouthed “Tell a friend to tell a friend” before Hull delivered the punchline: “She’s back!”
Lexie Hull’s Return Keeps Indiana’s Young Core Intact
Hull agreed to a multi-year deal to remain with the Fever, per ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, ending weeks of speculation about whether Indiana’s defensive anchor would explore other opportunities. She drew interest from multiple teams during free agency, but the Stanford product chose to stay put.
Hull is signing a multi-year deal to return to the Fever, I’m told.

Hull delivered the best season of her career in 2025, averaging 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across all 44 games. When Clark went down with injuries that cost her 39 games between the regular season and playoffs, Hull stepped up.
Hull’s postseason numbers jumped to 10.3 points and 5 rebounds per game as the Fever pushed the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces to a deciding Game 5 in the semifinals.
“I think it’s very achievable with what we’re going to be able to do with free agency,” Hull told Fox News Digital earlier this week about Indiana’s championship aspirations.
Clark made her feelings clear in the comments of Hull’s announcement video: “YIPEEE SKIPEEEEEE.” She also tagged Sophie Cunningham, who remains a free agent, writing “@S O P H I E hey what’s up wyd.”
Cunningham responded with mock outrage: “The no invite is CRAZYYYYY! You two better make up for this horrible TikTok.”
Caitlin Clark tagged Sophie Cunningham in the video — which started a fun back and forth.

The WNBA social media world joined the celebration. The Clark Report shared the announcement, while WNBA Got Game noted Clark’s role in the reveal.
One fan summed up the sentiment: “Zero surprise that other teams tried. And zero surprise that our girl stayed!”
Hull’s return slots into a free agency period that has reshaped Indiana’s roster around its star point guard. The Fever locked up Kelsey Mitchell with a one-year, $1.4 million supermax deal on Friday, keeping their leading scorer from the past five seasons.
Lexie Hull has officially re-signed with Indiana.
GM Amber Cox: “Ensuring Lexie’s return was a high priority for us.
“She represents the heart of our team, and that was never more evident than in our playoff run last season. She impacts every aspect of the game on both ends of…

GM Amber Cox also spoke with pride about Hull. She mentioned that Hull represented the heart of the team, considering the impact she has had on the team, especially during the Fever’s last postseason run.
The franchise also added veteran forward Monique Billings from the Golden State Valkyries on a multi-year contract, bringing in another player who suited up alongside Clark at the FIBA Qualifying Tournament in March. With Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Makayla Timpson already under contract, Indiana has reassembled its core while adding depth.
The Fever open the 2026 season against the Dallas Wings on May 9 with genuine title expectations. Clark returns fully healthy after an injury-riddled 2025.
Indiana pushed the eventual champs to 5 games without its best player last year. With everyone on the floor, the math starts looking different.
