‘Run Through Your Face’ — Bijan Robinson Hypes Up Falcons’ ‘Elite’ 1–2 Punch With Brian Robinson Jr.

Falcons star RB Bijan Robinson warns opposing defenses about the 1-2 punch with recent free agent signing Brian Robinson Jr.

Bijan Robinson is the definition of a workhorse running back; however, the Atlanta Falcons organization has insisted on pairing him with another bruising back to take the load off their superstar running back.

After Tyler Allgeier inked a deal with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, Atlanta filled the void by signing Brian Robinson Jr., and Bijan had some encouraging things to say about his new backfield partner.

Bijan Robinson Hypes Up Falcons’ Revamped Backfield

Spring has arrived, meaning NFL players and staff have returned to facilities to prepare for offseason workouts. With the program comes media availability from all the top stars, including Robinson.

On Wednesday, when asked about Allgeier’s exit and the uncertainty surrounding the team’s new backfield dynamic, Bijan noted that Brian is more than capable and that the RB duo is a force to be reckoned with.

“Me and Brian [Robinson Jr.], we became close already. He’s one of the most solid dudes, just me talking to him and passing by throughout our careers. But he’s already ready to go. Like, we’re already talking about what’s to be expected, what we want to do, how we want to do it. Obviously, like, when you have another guy that can carry the load too, it always helps you out.”

“That’s why I appreciate Tyler so much and how we just became that one-two [punch]. Now, me and B-Rob becoming the one-two [punch], it’s going to be pretty elite.” “I mean that dude, he brings a lot of power in his game. You know me, I’m super versatile and I’m not one to truck you all the time and I’m trying to not get tackled, I’m trying to run away from you.”

“But him? Kind of similar to Tyler [Allgeier], when they’re in the game, they just bring a presence; when they have the ball in their hands, you better be ready. You better be ready to break down and tackle because if not, they’ll run through you. They’ll find a corner, they’ll run through your face. And even him, he has like an explosion to his game. I know he has great feet, great balance.”

“[I’ll be] helping him as a player just as much as he’ll help me. Like I’mma help him in the pass game and make sure he becomes versatile all over the field, and I know he’ll help me in and that aspect of like trying to find corners and lower my shoulder, stuff like that.”

“I think him having that aspect of his game, he’ll tire defenses and then I’ll go in make sure the defense is on their heels, and then he’ll go in and do the exact same thing. So, I’m pretty excited to work with him.” (He said Christian McCaffrey reached out to him and told him that he’s going to enjoy B-Rob as a teammate too).”

This past season, according to PFSN’s NFL RB Impact Metrics, Bijan recorded an 86.5 impact score, ranking third among all backs. Meanwhile, Brian (51.4) and Tyler Allgeier (50.6) placed back-to-back at 42nd and 43rd among RBs.

While it remains to be seen what type of impact Brian will have in Atlanta, it is fair to assume he can succeed in Allgeier’s previous role. Regardless, with Bijan Robinson leading the Falcons’ rushing attack in 2026, there is no doubt the unit will be one of the league’s best.
