Tom Brady took to social media to congratulate his former team's coaches on their 2026 award wins.

While the New England Patriots were gearing up for their Super Bowl LX matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, two Patriots’ coaches were honored at NFL Honors. Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels were among those to receive awards at the NFL’s annual NFL Honors award show.

What Did Tom Brady Say In Response to Patriots’ Coaches Winning Awards?

Both coaches played integral roles in the team’s success and will look to carry that success into the Super Bowl.

Tom Brady is one of the greatest players to ever play in the NFL, and most of his time in the NFL came with the Patriots. During that time, the seven-time Super Bowl Champion and current FOX analyst was a teammate of Vrabel’s and had McDaniels as his offensive coordinator. Brady was one of many around the league to take to social media to congratulate the two New England coaches for their tremendous honors.

Vrabel was named the NFL’s Coach of the Year, the second time he has received the honor, and his first as the Patriots’ coach. In his first season as New England’s head coach, Vrabel led the Patriots to a 14-3 record and an AFC East Division title. This came just a year after the team finished in last place in the AFC East with a 4-13 record.

“Congrats Mike,” Brady said to Vrabel on his Instagram story. “A great teammate, coach, and friend! Hard earned and well deserved!”

Vrabel’s defensive-oriented mindset helped improve the team on that side of the ball, where they ranked No. 12 in PFSN’s Defense Impact Metrics (DEFi), allowing the fourth fewest points per game (18.8).

Meanwhile, McDaniels was named the NFL’s Assistant Coach of the Year in his first year back with the Patriots after a stint as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Incredible accomplishment Josh,” Brady said to McDaniels on his Instagram story. “Nobody works harder or is more committed than you! I’m so proud of you, love you so much.”

New England ranked as the No. 2 offense in PFSN’s Offense Impact Metrics (OFFi), ranking third in total yards per game (379.4), fourth in passing yards per game (250.5), and second in points per game (28.8). Much of the team’s success can be attributed to Drake Maye’s leap in his second year in the NFL. Under McDaniels’ tutelage, Maye finished as the runner-up for the NFL MVP, only one vote shy of Matthew Stafford, after completing 72.0% of his passes for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.

After successful first years as coaches on this Patriots’ staff, Vrabel and McDaniels hope this is just the beginning of a fruitful relationship. New England will look to hoist its seventh Lombardi trophy on Sunday and be a title contender for years to come with its acclaimed coaching staff at the helm.
