Caitlin Clark has quickly become one of the biggest names in the WNBA. Even without a championship on her résumé yet, her influence on the league is impossible to miss. That star power is now reaching beyond the women’s game, highlighted by a lighthearted crossover when Clark recently went head-to-head with NBA veteran Jamal Crawford in a game of HORSE.
Caitlin Clark Makes a Guest Appearance on New NBA Pregame Show
Indiana Fever star Clark was invited to make a guest appearance on NBC’s new NBA pregame show, “Basketball Night in America”. The show is supposed to be an alternative to the long-running show “NBA on TNT”, which concluded back in 2025.
Given that Basketball Night in America debuted on Sunday before the marquee matchup between the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, NBC made sure to deliver a strong start to its inaugural broadcast.
What better way to bring in more viewers than to invite the WNBA’s hottest star, Clark? While Clark was a guest contributor on Sunday, NBC featured clips of her playing HORSE with Crawford during a segment of the show.
But instead of the traditional game of HORSE, Clark and Crawford played a shortened version they called NBC, a nod to the show’s network.

While Sunday’s first Basketball Night in America broadcast was supposed to be about the NBA games, Reggie Miller had to give Clark her flowers for the amazing work she’s done so far in her WNBA career.
During the broadcast, Miller took the time to give Clark props for being one of the best shooters the sport has seen. In particular, Miller declared Clark the best shooter in Indiana’s basketball history. He ranked her higher than him.
“There’s a new shooter from Indiana,” Miller said. “I’m the third-best shooter in the state of Indiana now. It goes Caitlin, Tyrese (Haliburton), then now myself.”
While there’s no denying that getting a nod from a basketball legend is a huge confidence booster, Clark was humble enough to acknowledge that she still has a long way to go before becoming the undisputed best shooter in Indiana.
It’s worth noting that while Clark was a guest contributor in NBC’s debut of its new pregame show, she is scheduled to make another appearance on March 29. For now, we’re not entirely sure whether the broadcast team plans to sign her as a regular member before the start of the 2026 WNBA season.
