It is validation time for two teams that have had markedly different paths, both this season and in recent history. The Denver Broncos made the playoffs for the first time in a decade last year and are trying to go a step further this season, while the Buffalo Bills have won a playoff game in each of the last six seasons.
However, this year, the Broncos have a chance to solidify their one-seed credentials with a win over the mighty Bills, whereas Josh Allen has the opportunity of a lifetime with no other proven quarterback on his side of the bracket. It makes the Divisional Round game one to watch out for, even if neither team is fully healthy coming into the contest.
Inactive List for Bills and Broncos
Ed Oliver was listed as questionable for today but will play against the Broncos. According to PFSN’s Defense Impact Metric, the Bills’ defense currently ranks 13th in the league, and having Oliver back is a huge boost.

With the Kansas City Chiefs falling apart, a new dominant force has emerged in the AFC West: the Broncos. All season long, they’ve made their living on the defensive side of the football, where they are ranked at number 1 on PFSN’s Defense Impact.
However, facing a game-breaking talent like Allen, the game might come down to Bo Nix’s ability to go toe to toe with the veteran. Either way, it should make for an exciting outing in the Mile High City to open the Divisional Round proceedings.
