Browns Predicted To Select 11-TD WR in 2026 NFL Draft and Build Around Shedeur Sanders

The Browns own two first-round selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, and a new mock projects a wide receiver to help address offensive needs.

After another disappointing year with a 5-12 record, the Cleveland Browns are slated to select sixth overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. They are also projected to have the 27th overall pick after receiving the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 first-round pick as part of a trade during the 2025 Draft, which helped the Jaguars land Travis Hunter.

With a lot of help needed for their offense, the Browns are projected to add a playmaker with the Jaguars’ pick to help Shedeur Sanders.

Browns Predicted To Select a Wide Receiver From the University of Washington

In a mock draft by PFSN’s Trevor Ritchie, the Browns are predicted to select wide receiver Denzel Boston from Washington with the 27th overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft. Ritchie has this to say on Boston:

“Standing at 6’4”, 210 pounds, Boston is a tall, long-bodied receiver with the size and catch-point skills to challenge defenders downfield. He can work both as a traditional X-receiver and on motions, using fluid hips, explosive stems, and hand strength to create separation. His vertical ability and skill in boxing out defenders make him a promising weapon with the potential to improve an inconsistent Browns passing attack.”

In PFSN’s 2025 CFB WRi, Boston ranked as the 50th best wide receiver with an impact score of 79.5 and a letter grade of C+. He finished the season with 62 receptions, 881 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns in 12 games.

Throughout his entire collegiate career, he has played in 43 games, recording 132 receptions, 1,781 receiving yards, 20 receiving touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown.

Boston has the chance to make a significant impact on the Browns’ offense, considering they ranked dead last at 32nd in PFSN’s OFFi this season with an impact score of 52.0 and a letter grade of F.

Out of the entire Cleveland wide receiver room, only three qualified with enough playing time in PFSN’s WRi. However, none of them played exceptionally well.

The highest ranking receiver in PFSN’s WRi was Cedric Tillman, who ranked 89th in the league with an impact score of 67.7 and a letter grade of D+. In 13 games this season, he caught 21 receptions for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Next ranks rookie wide receiver Isaiah Bond out of the University of Texas. Bond ranked 101st in WRi this season with an impact score of 64.5 and a letter grade of D. In 16 games, he caught 18 receptions for 338 yards and no touchdowns.

The worst ranking of the qualified Browns receivers was surprisingly Jerry Jeudy. The veteran receiver ranked 104th in WRi with an impact score of 63.1 and a letter grade of D. In 17 games, he caught 50 receptions for 602 yards and two touchdowns.
