Coco Gauff is Enjoying Her ‘Favorite Christmas’ Since Childhood in 2025
Gauff’s 2025 season officially came to an end on November 6 following her participation at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, concluding what she has described as an exceptionally long campaign that stretched from late December 2024 through the opening week of November.
The World No. 3 has since dedicated her time to rest, recovery, and spending meaningful moments with her family and loved ones as the holiday season has intensified across December. On December 22, the American tennis star decided to share her sentiments through an Instagram story that offered her followers a genuine glimpse into her personal life during this off-season period.
In her Instagram story, Gauff posted a heartfelt message that read, “This year has been my fav Christmas since I was a kid and it’s not even Christmas yet,” accompanied by a red heart emoji to emphasize her emotions behind the statement.

The story featured multiple Polaroid photographs capturing candid moments from what appeared to be an early Christmas celebration with her family members and her boyfriend, Jalen Sera, arranged across a marble table. Among the items visible in the story were several books, adding a thoughtful, intellectual dimension to the heartwarming display of family memories and personal treasures.
How Did Gauff’s Off-Season Look?
The off-season period has proven to be quite active for Gauff when it comes to her personal engagements and time spent away from professional tennis. She celebrated Thanksgiving with her family in late November, baking potato pies and organizing a karaoke night with her siblings.
Gauff also took a trip to Los Angeles with her boyfriend during this period, where the couple explored art galleries and attended the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in late November.
Beyond personal celebrations, she has been actively engaged in community service, renovating tennis courts in her hometown of New Orleans and conducting clinics for young players in the area, embodying her commitment to giving back to the sport that has defined much of her life.
As the calendar transitions into the new year, Gauff’s return to professional competition is scheduled for early January, when she will represent Team USA at the United Cup in Perth and Sydney, Australia. Following the conclusion of the United Cup, the Australian Open will commence, where the 21-year-old champion will enter as the third seed, positioning her among the tournament’s top contenders.
