Jannik Sinner’s Dubai Training Sessions with Simona Halep

The ATP Finals champion concluded an extraordinarily successful season in November by retaining his title in Turin with a commanding performance. Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the final with a decisive victory of 7-6(4), 7-5, securing the ATP Finals trophy for the second consecutive year. Throughout the 2025 season, Sinner captured six tournament titles and compiled an impressive 58-6 win-loss record, while reaching the finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments and securing major victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

In the weeks following his triumph in Turin, Sinner took time to recharge with a vacation to the Maldives before redirecting his focus toward preparation for the 2026 season by making his way to Dubai. The Italian gained significant media attention over the weekend when he attended the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix on December 8, making a public appearance alongside girlfriend Laila Hasanovic.

Now, Sinner has been actively working on the tennis court as part of his offseason program. Darren Cahill, the Italian’s coaching staff leader, documented his activities on Instagram by posting a story that captured Sinner on a tennis court practicing with fellow professional tennis player Simona Halep.

He captioned the video, “A couple of champs,” while tagging both Sinner and Halep. It is noteworthy that Cahill previously served as Halep’s coach from 2017 to 2018. During this period, he guided her to achieve the World No. 1 ranking and secure victory at the 2018 French Open championship, before returning to work with her again in 2020.

Cahill shared another Instagram story from the beachfront in Dubai, with Sinner alongside his entire coaching team engaged in a casual ball sport, simply writing, “team.” With the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel visible in the background, the image captured Sinner and his support group enjoying a lighter time away from the tennis courts.

Sinner’s Preparation for a Demanding 2026 Season

Sinner’s practice sessions in Dubai clearly demonstrate his unwavering focus on preparing for the 2026 season, which will commence in January with the Australian Open. The Italian will have the significant responsibility of defending his Australian Open title, having successfully won back-to-back championships in both 2024 and 2025. Should he emerge victorious for a third consecutive year, Sinner would join an exceptionally exclusive group of players, including Novak Djokovic, who accomplished the feat of winning three successive Australian Open titles during his dominant reign from 2019 to 2021.

At the remarkably young age of 24 years old, Sinner became the youngest man in tennis history to reach the final of all four Grand Slam tournaments and the ATP Finals in the same calendar season. He extended his impressive consecutive match-winning streak on indoor surfaces to 31 victories, showcasing his dominance on indoor hard courts.

The next defining chapter of Sinner’s career will unfold at Melbourne Park, where he will compete to etch his name into tennis history by capturing another Australian Open championship and continuing his unprecedented run of success.
