John Harbaugh just finished his 18th season as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, and throughout the season, constant rumors surfaced that this could potentially be his last year. He totaled just four playoff wins across the past 13 seasons, and the Ravens parted ways with him after their loss in Week 18.
Here are some replacements Baltimore should target now:
Best Replacements for John Harbaugh
Harbaugh has achieved considerable success in his career, including helping the Ravens win a Super Bowl championship. The problem was that it had been more than a decade since, and they had failed to make a deep playoff run since then. It is time for a change in Baltimore, and here are five head coach replacements they should consider.
1) Todd Monken, Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator
The easiest transition in Baltimore would be to promote their offensive coordinator to become their head coach. Todd Monken has been a head coach candidate for other teams in recent years, so in order to keep him long-term, they may have to promote him eventually. Lamar Jackson has significantly improved as a passer since he replaced Greg Roman, so elevating him to replace Harbaugh makes sense.
2) Chris Shula, Los Angeles Rams Defensive Coordinator
Most around the NFL believe that Chris Shula is going to be a head coach in the near future. He is the grandson of coaching legend Don Shula and has been excellent as a defensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Rams. He can theoretically address the Ravens’ defensive inconsistencies, and his arrival could potentially allow Monken to retain his role as offensive coordinator rather than being a casualty of Harbaugh’s firing.
3) Brian Flores, Minnesota Vikings Defensive Coordinator
Brian Flores demonstrated relative success in the past while with the Miami Dolphins. He now serves as the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, where he has helped them to become one of the best units in the NFL. They finished the season as the fourth-best defense in the league according to PFSN’s Defense Impact Metric, and also finished third last year. All of this suggests that Flores could soon get another shot as a head coach.
4) Josh Grizzard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator
If the Ravens want to target an offensive coordinator to take over as their head coach, taking a look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be a good place to start. Their past two, Dave Canales and Liam Coen, both recently departed the position and have been having success with their new teams. Josh Grizzard could potentially be the third in as many years.
5) Anthony Weaver, Miami Dolphins Defensive Coordinator
The Ravens could potentially target a familiar face to replace Harbaugh if they do, in fact, decide to go in a different direction. Anthony Weaver is a former player for the franchise and also previously served as their assistant head coach. He is now serving as the defensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins, but a promotion could mean a return to Baltimore.

I think Jesse Minter will be the guy in Baltimore.
