In Week 13 of the NFL season, the Buffalo Bills defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 26-7, a game in which the Bills outperformed the Steelers in most, if not all, categories.

As we look ahead to Week 14, the Bills will face off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 7 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Here’s an update on how some key contributors for the Bills stand injury-wise.

What Key Contributors are Injured for the Buffalo Bills?

On the team’s injury report, there are seven players of note whose status could affect the team’s next game. Here’s how the injury report shapes up:

1) Joshua Palmer

Palmer is dealing with an ankle injury and logged two limited practices last week, but didn’t practice in between those days. With the added rest and the continual progression, Palmer should be able to play against the Bengals.

2) Dalton Kincaid

The team was without tight end Dalton Kincaid in the Week 13 win. They’ve been without him since last month due to a hamstring injury. This season, he ranks second in PFSN’s TEi with an impact score of 87.5.

Last week, Kincaid received a DNP designation after only one day of practice, with limited participation on the other two days. He should continue to ramp up this week and has a fair shake at playing on Sunday.

3) Dion Dawkins

James Cook rushed for 144 yards in the team’s win, and they did it without Dion Dawkins, their star offensive tackle. This season, Dawkins ranks 120th in PFSN’s OLi.

Dawkins entered concussion protocol after the team’s Week 12 match against the Houston Texans and did not clear it before the Steelers game. He hasn’t cleared concussion protocol and will need to do so this week to play against the Bengals.

4) Joey Bosa

Joey Bosa played a big part in the team’s win on Sunday against the Steelers. He sacked Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. This season, in PFSN’s EDGEi, he ranks 34th in the league with an impact score of 79.6.

However, Bosa suffered a hamstring injury later in the game and did not return to action. When asked about it, McDermott admitted that he’ll see how the week of practice goes for Bosa. Obviously, nothing is specific yet, but it sounds like Bosa could miss the Bengals game.

5) Terrel Bernard

Linebacker Terrel Bernard did not practice last week, logging three days of DNPs due to an elbow injury. The injury list will be key to follow this week, and a decision on his status for gameday will likely come towards the end of the week.

6) Spencer Brown

Offensive tackle Spencer Brown logged three DNPs last week with a shoulder injury. Similar to Bernard, the injury list should give us an early indication of his health, and a decision should be made by the end of the week. Brown ranks 53rd in PFSN’s OLi with an impact score of 80.8.

7) Tyler Bass

The 28-year-old place kicker suffered hip/groin injuries early in the preseason, which started his season on the injured reserve. Not much has been said about Bass, especially with veteran Matt Prater having a solid season, making 17 of 19 field goal attempts and 34 of 37 extra points.

However, McDermott finally announced that, “He ended up having surgery this past week here, so he is basically out for the season.” For the rest of the season, Prater will hold down the kicking spot.
