Latest Injury Update for Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love

On 2nd and 10 with just 7:08 to go in the first quarter, Love was visibly shaken up following a four-yard run.

It appeared as though a defender’s knee hit him directly in the ribcage on the way to the ground. He remained on the ground for some time before sitting up as trainers attended to him.

Love was able to walk off the field on his own power and went directly toward the blue medical tent, holding his ribs and clearly displaying labored breathing.

The Heisman hopeful exited the game with nine carries, 58 yards, and a score to his name. Backup RB Jadarian Price entered in his stead and immediately finished the drive with his 14th touchdown of the season, this one coming just one yard out.

Love has totaled a 185-1,306-17 rushing line this season, adding another 26 catches for 274 yards and three scores as the engine of Notre Dame’s offense. Per PFSN’s CFB RB Impact rating, Love is the third-ranked rusher in the nation, averaging 7.06 yards per carry and owning a 45.9% elusive rate.

With the team up 14-0 and facing a 4-7 Stanford team, head coach Marcus Freeman could choose to hold Love out for the rest of the contest, handing the reins to Price (107-659-10 rushing line in 2025).

Nevertheless, Love was seen out of the medical tent with his helmet on and presumably ready to play, if the coaching staff so chose.
