What Happened to Drake London? A Look at the Injury That Sidelined the Falcons WR in Week 13

Drake London is inactive against the New York Jets in Week 13. Here is the latest injury update on the Atlanta Falcons star.

Thanksgiving week finds the Atlanta Falcons’ top receiver on the injury report but trending toward availability. Drake London was listed with a knee issue and did not participate in practice earlier in the week.

With the Falcons in a tight NFC South race, London’s absence against a physical Jets secondary looms large for Raheem Morris’ offense.

Drake London Injury Update

London appeared on this week’s injury report with a knee designation, and he will be inactive against the Jets.

Asked about London’s outlook, head coach Morris said, “He looks good. He’s moving around. I’m happy that we’ll get him back soon, just not sure how soon.” That cautious optimism aligns with the team’s approach as they finalize a short-week plan and monitor how the knee responds to late-week activity.

London’s volume underscores his importance. Through 11 games, he has 60 receptions on 94 targets for a team-high 810 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 90.0 yards per game. His usage sits at the center of Atlanta’s third-down and red-zone sequencing, and the knee listing puts focus on whether he could maintain his typical route load.

When Will Drake London Return?

As of now, London could make his return from injury next week for the Falcons. In his absence, Darnell Mooney will be the team’s WR1.

Atlanta needs steady production from its WR1 to keep pace in the division, and London’s ability to win at the boundary and on in‑breaking routes remains central to the call sheet. The head coach’s “looks good” assessment hints that the star wideout will not be sidelined for long.

Barring a late setback, the expectation is that London will be active against the Seattle Seahawks next week, with his target share and route inventory aligning with season norms.

Atlanta Falcons’ Insights for Week 13

Team: The Falcons snapped a three-game losing streak with a win in Week 12. Atlanta’s postseason outlook would be much different if not for the losing streak, during which they lost three games, two in overtime, by a combined 10 points.

QB: Kirk Cousins posted a QBi score of 71.5 (C-) in Week 12, which ranked 19th in the league.

Offense: Bijan Robinson has averaged 112.7 yards from scrimmage over the last three games after averaging 427 yards per game the previous three games.

Defense: Atlanta posted their second-best DEFi score (86.2, B) of the season in Week 12. The Falcons rank 15th overall on the season for DEFi.

Fantasy: Darnell Mooney paid off your trust with a 49-yard TD, and while he only saw three targets against the Saints, the case can be made that his value is here to stay with Kirk Cousins under center.
