Arizona vs. Arizona State Head-to-Head Record
This matchup’s been as close as rivalries get. Arizona currently leads the series, but it’s not by much. The Wildcats are leading 51-45-1, but Arizona State won the last matchup in 2024.
These two teams were in very different places last year. The Sun Devils made a run to the Big 12 championship and the College Football Playoff. They didn’t make another run this year, but they’re still finding success. Arizona struggled through Brent Brennan’s first season, but now they’re thriving in 2025.

Arizona vs. Arizona State Prediction
Arizona State’s 2025 season continues throwing curveballs their way. Injuries, a quarterback looking to transfer, and a coach linked to multiple other jobs continue providing off-the-field drama. The Sun Devils persevered through all, and have a chance to finish the year strong.
This game comes down to offensive consistency for the Sun Devils. Jeff Sims took over the offense once Sam Leavitt was done for the year. His play steadied the offense the last couple of weeks, and he got star wide receiver Jordyn Tyson coming back as well.

Brennan made plenty of changes to the Arizona Wildcats this year. From the coaching staff to the roster, he made sure this year would result in more success. It started with bringing in Seth Doege, who’s turned Noah Fifita back into an electric passer.
This should be an entertaining game, one that holds its own entertainment value without major postseason implications. Both teams can put up points thanks to explosive offenses, so it comes down to which defense can steal a possession.
Prediction: Arizona 31, Arizona State 30
