The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to Mile High with their AFC West hopes on life support ahead of a Week 11 showdown against the Denver Broncos.
On Sunday afternoon in Denver, it’ll be power against power as PFSN’s third-ranked offense in the Chiefs (87.9) faces the top-ranked defensive unit in the league per PFSN’s Defensive Impact rankings (94.5).
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos Prediction
Why The Chiefs Will Lose
The Chiefs will find themselves nearly out of contention in the AFC West if Patrick Mahomes and co. can’t find a way to overcome PFSN’s top-ranked defense in the Broncos, who boast a 94.5 impact score (a combination of passing and rushing defensive EPA, in addition to third-down and red-zone performances).
The Broncos are allowing just 270.7 total yards per game, ranking sixth in passing yards allowed per contest and fourth in rushing yards allowed per game.
Why The Chiefs Will Win
It won’t be easy for the Chiefs as Andy Reid’s club looks to hand the Broncos their first home loss since October 2024.
If the Chiefs are to get back on track and make their surge for a 10th straight divisional title, it’ll have to come with Steve Spagnuolo’s defense keeping Patrick Mahomes and co. in the game until late in the fourth quarter.
While the Broncos’ defense is the best unit in the league, the Chiefs currently rank 10th in PFSN’s Defensive Impact rankings (80.0).
If the Chiefs’ defense can keep the Broncos in the teens, you have to think the two-time league MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion can cobble together 20+ points.
Prediction
It won’t be an easy one for the Mahomes-led offense, which will have to find a way to manufacture points on the road against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

However, it hasn’t been exactly smooth sailing for Bo Nix and Sean Payton’s offense despite the Broncos’ impressive 8-2 record. If the Broncos are to put the Chiefs’ divisional hopes away, they’ll have to score more than the 14 points they’ve averaged over their past two games.
With the Broncos’ defense due to come back down to earth, coupled with the offense sputtering as of late, it’s almost Thanksgiving — which means Andy Reid’s ballclub is about to round into form.
Final score prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 23, Denver Broncos 17.
