How Did Alexander Bublik React to Félix Auger-Aliassime’s Moral Gesture?

Alexander Bublik gave impressive performances during his 2025 Paris Masters journey. To reach the semifinal stage, he overcame Alexei Popyrin in the round of 64, Corentin Moutet in the round of 32, World No. 4 Taylor Fritz in the round of 16, and Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals.

During his first Masters 1000 semifinal, the Kazakh suffered from a bout of anger,  smashing his racket on the court and subsequently receiving a code violation. The incident took place when he lost a break lead early in the second set. After the changeover, they switched courts, and the Canadian couldn’t start the game because there were pieces on the court.

In a moral and gratuitous gesture, Auger-Aliassime cleaned the debris from the court with a towel, to which Bublik gave an admirable reaction, making a heart with his fingers.

Through his Paris Masters journey, Félix Auger-Aliassime defeated Francisco Comesana, Alexandre Müller, and Daniel Altmaier in the round of 16, and then Valentin Vacherot, the winner of the Shanghai Masters, in the quarterfinal round. He has now advanced to the final round, where he will face the World No. 2, Jannik Sinner.

I’m going to wake up ready. At the same time, with these guys, you have to be so sharp. Tactically, and with discipline. They don’t give you anything, so you have to be ready to play you’re A-game.”

After finishing his Paris run, the winner of eight ATP Tour singles titles will next compete at the Moselle Open, an ATP 250 tournament held at the Arènes de Metz, France, from November 2 to 8, 2025. In this season, Bublik has won four titles, namely in Halle, Gstaad, Kitzbuhel, and Hangzhou.
