Wimbledon Wildcards, Including Venus and Serena Williams

Men’s Singles

Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka lead the men’s singles wildcards. The former arrives at SW19 a year after suffering a heartbreaking injury while being on the verge of defeating Jannik Sinner, who went on to win the title.

Wawrinka will be playing at Wimbledon for the last time in his career. The two-time quarterfinalist and three-time Grand Slam champion will be determined to end his grass-court career on a high.

Home favorites Jacob Fearnley, Arthur Fery, Felix Gill, Toby Samuel, Jack Pinnington Jones, and Harry Wendelken are the other players who have received main-draw wildcards.

Women’s Singles

Serena Williams is back at Wimbledon and will be playing in women’s singles as she looks to pull off the improbable. The seven-time champion will compete in singles for the first time since the 2022 US Open and has received wildcards for both the women’s singles and doubles events.

French Open finalist Maja Chwalińska has also been awarded a main-draw wildcard, allowing her to bypass qualifying. She will also be seeded at the Grand Slam.

British players Harriet Dart, Hannah Klugman, Alicia Dudeney, Mika Stojsavljevic, Mimi Xu, and Katie Swan are the other players with wildcards in women’s singles.

Men’s Doubles

Nick Kyrgios leads the list of wildcards in men’s doubles. He will team up with Alexander Bublik at the event. Dan Evans has also received a wildcard for his final Wimbledon appearance. He will be teaming up with Henry Searle.

The British pairs of Ben Jones and Joshua Paris, Johannus Monday and Wendelken, and David Stevenson and Marcus Willis have also been awarded wildcards.

Women’s Doubles

The Williams sisters will be renewing their legendary partnership in women’s doubles, with Serena and Venus receiving wildcards as they gun for a seventh Wimbledon title together.

The older Williams sister has been active on the WTA Tour at 46, while Serena returned to tennis earlier this month.
