Andre Agassi Set to Clash with Eugenie Bouchard in Pickleball Slam 4

Pickleball Slam 4 takes place April 15, 2026, at Hard Rock Live inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The event is organized by Horizon Sports & Experiences and GSE Worldwide, which started in 2023, offering a $1 million prize purse. ESPN is the official broadcaster of the match, which starts live at 7 p.m. ET.

The matchup features Agassi and James Blake against Anna Leigh Waters and Bouchard. Agassi competed in all three previous Pickleball Slam events, winning the first with Andy Roddick and the second with Steffi Graf. Agassi’s partner, Blake, competed in Slam 2 in early 2024, whereas Waters ranks No. 1 on the PPA Tour across all divisions.

Bouchard previously competed on the WTA Tour, but following her retirement at the Canadian Open, she now plays professional pickleball.

The format includes two singles matches and one doubles match. Bouchard faces Agassi while Waters plays Blake. Each singles victory earns one point, while the doubles match carries two points.

Agassi’s Passion for Pickleball Following Legendary Tennis Career

Agassi discovered pickleball during the pandemic when his family introduced him to the sport. The eight-time Grand Slam winner didn’t know the rules initially but got hooked quickly and began playing multiple times weekly, drawn to the social aspects and strategy.

He invested significantly in pickleball beyond playing. In January 2024, he joined a group purchasing controlling interest in DUPR, a leading rating system, where the investors contributed $8 million to expand the platform. He partnered with Joola in August 2024 to develop his signature paddle line, earning recognition in the field.

His professional debut came at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida, on April 29, 2025, one day after turning 55. He partnered with Waters in mixed doubles and defeated two younger players 11-8, 9-11, 11-7 before reaching the quarterfinals.
