Beyond her tennis achievements, Caroline Wozniacki has embraced motherhood with even greater joy. The Danish star, currently on a break from the WTA tour, continues to create heartwarming memories with her family and is now eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third child.
Amid this special phase of her life, another joyous occasion arrived as Wozniacki celebrated her adorable son James’ third birthday, sharing a glimpse of the heartwarming celebration online.
Caroline Wozniacki Beams With Joy As Son James Turns Three
Wozniacki has been married to former NBA star David Lee since 2019, and together they have built a beautiful life. The celebrated athletes welcomed their first child, a daughter named Olivia, in 2021, followed by their son James a year later. As mentioned, the couple recently welcomed their third child, a boy named Max, born on July 26, 2025.
Thus, it’s fair to say the Dane has seamlessly balanced her illustrious tennis career with the grace and fulfillment of motherhood. Although the Dane has not competed since the 2024 US Open, she has continued to engage her fans by offering heartwarming glimpses into her personal life on social media. Wozniacki often shares moments spent with her children, and she recently celebrated her son James’s third birthday.
She marked the occasion with an adorable photo of the little one beaming as he enjoyed a cookie topped with three lit candles.

Notably, the former World No. 1 had also marked her daughter Olivia’s birthday with the same warmth earlier in June. Wozniacki marked the day by posting a string of heartwarming Instagram stories that showed Olivia playing with James, spending quality time with her mom, and brimming with energy.
How Does Wozniacki Balance Tennis and Motherhood?
Speaking at the 2024 US Open, Wozniacki discussed how she manages the dual demands of tennis and family life. The former World No. 1 noted that her marriage and professional aspirations complement each other seamlessly.
“Of course, marriage is a big thing, and I’m very happily married, but when you get married, it doesn’t really change your preparation for training or matches or days off,” Wozniacki said.
The former World No. 1 further expressed her deep gratitude for motherhood, calling it the best job in the world. She emphasized striving to remain fully present for her children while simultaneously pursuing excellence in tennis, admitting that maintaining this balance can sometimes be challenging.
“Having kids makes a big difference. Obviously, my kids are there every day, and I’m so grateful for that. It’s the best job in the world, and I love it. I try to make sure that I’m still a 100 per cent present mum whilst also trying to balance being the best tennis player I can be. I think that’s where it can get a bit tricky sometimes,” she added.
As mentioned, the Dane is currently inactive on tour. Although she had planned a comeback at this year’s Australian Open, Wozniacki later withdrew, citing physical discomfort and ongoing challenges stemming from her rheumatoid arthritis.
