Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season included some entertaining action, with a handful of top teams squaring off in absolute slugfests. Top teams like the Eagles, 49ers, and Jaguars all lost in the Sunday slate. These games, among many others, led to movement in our PFSN power rankings this week compared to last week. Here’s how the league is shaping up six weeks into the season.
32) Tennessee Titans
- Last Week’s Ranking: 32
- Offense Rank: 32
- Defense Rank: 23
- Playoff Odds: 1.90%
The Las Vegas Raiders entered Sunday as one of the coldest teams in the NFL, coming off of four straight losses, including a 40-6 beatdown from the Indianapolis Colts the week before. Even still, the Tennessee Titans lost by 10 points to them on Sunday.
They came away from Arizona with a narrow win in Week 5, but the Titans are still a long way away from being a team to take seriously in the NFL. In particular, the combination of a porous offensive line and an inexperienced quarterback in Cam Ward has been disastrous, as the rookie got sacked six times by the Raiders’ defense.
31) New York Jets
- Last Week’s Ranking: 27
- Offense Rank: 29
- Defense Rank: 27
- Playoff Odds: 1.30%
Despite being the only winless team in the NFL right now, the New York Jets avoid the last-place spot in PFSN’s power rankings due to their competitiveness: four of their six games have been decided by one possession. That said, you can’t reward an 0-6 start under any circumstances.
The Jets’ passing attack was particularly poor, as they ended their Sunday matchup against the Broncos with -10 net passing yards (the lowest mark this century). It’s not just Justin Fields’ fault, Aaron Glenn’s fault, or the offensive line’s fault. This is a flawed roster that lacks the offensive firepower to win NFL games.
30) Cleveland Browns
- Last Week’s Ranking: 28
- Offense Rank: 30
- Defense Rank: 11
- Playoff Odds: 4.00%
Dillon Gabriel took his second start of his NFL career on Sunday, and that game had the same result as his first start: a Cleveland Browns loss. They headed into Pittsburgh and lost to the Steelers on Sunday, dropping them to a 1-5 record so far this season.
The Browns didn’t hold a lead all afternoon against the Steelers, and playing from behind forced them into a pass-heavy approach. As one could expect from a struggling offense led by a third-round rookie at quarterback, that game plan didn’t play in Cleveland’s favor very well.
29) Cincinnati Bengals
- Last Week’s Ranking: 31
- Offense Rank: 31
- Defense Rank: 29
- Playoff Odds: 16.00%
Joe Flacco made his debut for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season, which is a sentence that would feel absurd to read 10 years ago. He was able to throw two touchdown passes and keep them competitive against the Packers, but they ultimately lost in what is their fourth loss in a row this year.
There’s hope that the Bengals could still turn things around, seeing as though Flacco had them playing tough against a talented Green Bay squad on the road. That said, don’t expect him to bring Cincinnati to the top of the AFC North anytime soon.
28) Las Vegas Raiders
- Last Week’s Ranking: 30
- Offense Rank: 28
- Defense Rank: 19
- Playoff Odds: 10.20%
With another interception thrown on Sunday, Geno Smith now has seven interceptions in six games for the Raiders this season. That said, they picked up a win over the Titans, improving to 2-4 and preventing their record from reaching disaster territory at this stage in the year.
Maxx Crosby continues to play at a very high level, having sacked Ward twice in the Raiders’ win. Las Vegas’ offense hasn’t been anything to write home about, but their defense has shown it can keep them competitive in games.
27) New Orleans Saints
- Last Week’s Ranking: 29
- Offense Rank: 25
- Defense Rank: 26
- Playoff Odds: 3.00%
It’s likely not much consolation, considering the New Orleans Saints are now 1-5 and sitting as one of the worst teams in the NFL. However, Spencer Rattler is admittedly doing more with a subpar supporting cast than many likely predicted of him coming into the season.
That’s not to say Rattler necessarily looks like a franchise QB. But it’s clear the Saints have a flawed roster, and they’re at least keeping things competitive in some of their losses, as they did in their loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.
26) Miami Dolphins
- Last Week’s Ranking: 25
- Offense Rank: 14
- Defense Rank: 31
- Playoff Odds: 4.40%
The Miami Dolphins have some talent on their roster, and they’ve been very competitive in their last two games. That said, both of those games were losses, and they now find themselves sitting at 1-5 after their narrow loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Miami’s inability to finish down the stretch has come back to bite them multiple times this year. They’re now 1-3 in games decided by one possession this year. As the losses stack up, head coach Mike McDaniel’s seat surely continues to get hotter.
25) Baltimore Ravens
- Last Week’s Ranking: 22
- Offense Rank: 26
- Defense Rank: 30
- Playoff Odds: 8.60%
At a certain point, you can’t dismiss the Baltimore Ravens’ slow start in the 2025 NFL season solely due to Lamar Jackson’s absence. They’ve only scored 13 points in their last two games combined, and their loss to the Rams on Sunday dropped them to 1-5 on the year.
The Ravens’ season has been a disaster, plagued by major injuries and bad defensive play. The hope is that things will turn around once their key contributors become healthy, but they might be in too deep a hole to come back and make it to the postseason at this point. PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor gives them just an 8.6% chance of making the postseason.
24) Carolina Panthers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 24
- Offense Rank: 15
- Defense Rank: 25
- Playoff Odds: 20.20%
Winners of three of their last four games, the Carolina Panthers came out of Week 6 with a 3-3 record, leaving them in the middle of the pack across the league. Running back Rico Dowdle has surpassed 200 scrimmage yards in each of his last two games in relief of starter Chuba Hubbard.
Carolina’s defense has been shaky this year, which has prevented them from ranking much higher in PFSN’s power rankings. That said, their offense seems to be turning a corner, which is great for the job security of Bryce Young and Dave Canales.
23) New York Giants
- Last Week’s Ranking: 26
- Offense Rank: 27
- Defense Rank: 21
- Playoff Odds: 8.20%
Jaxson Dart is 2-1 as the New York Giants’ starting quarterback, with his wins coming against the Chargers and Eagles. Both teams made the postseason last year, which provides plenty of reason for Giants fans to be excited about the future.
At 2-4, the Giants still face an uphill battle if they want to turn their season around and make it to the NFL playoffs. That said, their rookie offensive duo of Dart and Cam Skattebo has been a lot of fun to watch in recent weeks, even with the absence of Malik Nabers due to injury.
22) Dallas Cowboys
- Last Week’s Ranking: 18
- Offense Rank: 3
- Defense Rank: 32
- Playoff Odds: 8.00%
Things are not looking good for the Dallas Cowboys’ defense, and that sentiment was emphasized after their 30-27 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. It marked the fourth time in six games that they’ve allowed 30 points or more in a single game.
Dak Prescott is playing at a very high level to start the 2025 NFL season, and George Pickens is stepping up in a big way in CeeDee Lamb’s absence. However, there’s only so much the Cowboys’ offense can do if their defense isn’t helping them. They can still find their way back into playoff contention, but with their defense’s unreliability, it’ll likely require some offensive shootouts to get them there.
21) Arizona Cardinals
- Last Week’s Ranking: 17
- Offense Rank: 24
- Defense Rank: 18
- Playoff Odds: 9.20%
The Arizona Cardinals have been competitive in every game they’ve played, as they head into Week 7 with a +3 point differential. However, they also head into Week 7 with a 2-4 record, dropping another close battle in their 31-27 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Though the Cardinals’ offense performed admirably with Kyler Murray’s absence and Marvin Harrison Jr.’s early departure due to injury, their defense didn’t hold up its end of the bargain. That doesn’t bode well for head coach Jonathan Gannon in a season they’re expected to compete for a playoff spot.
20) Chicago Bears
- Last Week’s Ranking: 23
- Offense Rank: 21
- Defense Rank: 28
- Playoff Odds: 19.60%
It wasn’t pretty, but the Chicago Bears came out of their bye week with a victory on the road against the Commanders. A stellar game from D’Andre Swift, their defense forcing three turnovers, and a last-second field goal from Jake Moody helped the Bears improve their record to 3-2 on Monday night.
Expelling their demons from last season’s “Hail Maryland” game had to feel good for Chicago. There’s still plenty of work to be done, but they head into a favorable stretch of games with a winning record. It’s possible the Bears find themselves steadily climbing these rankings in the coming weeks if they keep this up.
19) Houston Texans
- Last Week’s Ranking: 17
- Offense Rank: 18
- Defense Rank: 3
- Playoff Odds: 32.60%
After two consecutive big wins following an 0-3 start, the Houston Texans had their bye week in Week 6. Their strong offensive output in recent weeks gives them reason to be optimistic coming out of the bye.
18) San Francisco 49ers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 14
- Offense Rank: 11
- Defense Rank: 24
- Playoff Odds: 59.00%
The San Francisco 49ers have been ravaged by injuries in the 2025 NFL season, and that continued on Sunday, when Fred Warner suffered a season-ending injury. Among many other factors, the durability of star players led to the 49ers’ loss to the Buccaneers 30-19 in Week 6.
Considering their current 4-2 record, the 49ers are in a solid position to remain competitive for a playoff spot in the coming weeks. However, in a similar fashion to their 2024 campaign, many of their star players continue to miss time due to injury, which hurts their long-term outlook.
17) Jacksonville Jaguars
- Last Week’s Ranking: 11
- Offense Rank: 19
- Defense Rank: 10
- Playoff Odds: 71.00%
There’s not much more concern about the Jacksonville Jaguars after Week 6, even with their loss at home against the Seahawks. They played a red-hot team tough, and they’re still 4-2, with their only two losses coming against early playoff contenders.
The Jaguars’ offense has been inconsistent so far this year, even though they have a good record. If they can get Trevor Lawrence and the rest of the offense on track, they should push hard for a playoff spot. That said, the AFC North doesn’t look like the cakewalk it’s been in recent years.
16) New England Patriots
- Last Week’s Ranking: 19
- Offense Rank: 9
- Defense Rank: 20
- Playoff Odds: 76.10%
The New England Patriots have won three games in a row, getting them to 4-2 this season after their Sunday win over the Saints. Drake Maye continued his stellar start to Year 2 in Week 6, throwing for 261 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in their win over New Orleans.
Through six games, the Patriots have allowed more than 21 points in a single game just once. With that solid play combining with Maye’s strong season, there’s plenty of upside for this team to climb up the rankings in the coming weeks.
15) Los Angeles Chargers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 15
- Offense Rank: 23
- Defense Rank: 9
- Playoff Odds: 74.70%
It took a last-second field goal to get them there, but the Los Angeles Chargers narrowly avoided a three-game losing streak with their 29-27 victory over the Dolphins on Sunday. The Week 6 win puts them at 4-2 for the season.
There’s still plenty for the Chargers to clean up, as evidenced by their previous two losses and narrow victory over a collapsing Miami squad. But a win is a win in the NFL, and it’ll be much nicer to head into a key matchup against the Colts next week with another notch in the win column.
14) Atlanta Falcons
- Last Week’s Ranking: 20
- Offense Rank: 17
- Defense Rank: 13
- Playoff Odds: 32.50%
The Atlanta Falcons entered their Monday night matchup against the Bills coming off of a bye week, and it looked like they used their extra preparation time wisely. They came away with the upset victory, improving to 3-2 for the 2025 NFL season.
It was a solid all-around win for the Falcons, as they intercepted Josh Allen twice on Monday night to hold one of the league’s best offenses to just 14 points. On offense, Bijan Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew who finished with 238 yards from scrimmage in just one night.
13) Pittsburgh Steelers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 21
- Offense Rank: 13
- Defense Rank: 15
- Playoff Odds: 89.70%
The biggest winners from the chaotic start to the 2025 NFL season in the AFC North are the Pittsburgh Steelers. Injuries to the Bengals’ and Ravens’ starting quarterbacks have sent them both into a spiral, and the Browns aren’t ready to compete. Meanwhile, the Steelers sit pretty with a 4-1 record.
Though the Steelers haven’t played a very tough schedule to this point, they deserve credit for defeating those who are ahead of them. They’ve shown some very real flaws on offense, but at this rate, they’re firmly in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot as the AFC North divisional champions.
12) Minnesota Vikings
- Last Week’s Ranking: 13
- Offense Rank: 22
- Defense Rank: 2
- Playoff Odds: 40.60%
The Minnesota Vikings had their bye week in Week 6, sitting at 3-2 coming out of the bye. Thanks to quarterback injuries and inconsistent play, it’s been a bizarre season, but they’re well-coached and well-rounded enough on the rest of their roster to compete with any team in the league.
11) Philadelphia Eagles
- Last Week’s Ranking: 7
- Offense Rank: 20
- Defense Rank: 17
- Playoff Odds: 61.70%
After a strong 4-0 start, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped their second game in a row in Week 6, falling to the Giants in a major upset on Thursday night. Not only did they lose that game, but they lost by 17 points against a team that’s been significantly less successful in recent years.
Something isn’t clicking with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ passing attack this season. This time, their run game and defense couldn’t bail them out. The defending Super Bowl champions are too talented to count out, but they’re at risk of sliding out of the top ten of PFSN’s power rankings.
10) Denver Broncos
- Last Week’s Ranking: 6
- Offense Rank: 16
- Defense Rank: 1
- Playoff Odds: 74.60%
The Denver Broncos drop three spots in PFSN’s power rankings after a nail-biting win over the Jets in London on Sunday. A 13-11 win over the team with the worst record in the NFL is hardly anything to be inspired by. Still, as stated multiple times, a win is a win, and the Broncos are now 4-2 this season.
Playing a game overseas is never an easy adjustment, and as flawed as their performance was, Denver still came away with the win. They head into Week 7 with a favorable record and still belong in the top ten in our rankings.
9) Washington Commanders
- Last Week’s Ranking: 5
- Offense Rank: 5
- Defense Rank: 14
- Playoff Odds: 64.60%
Last season, the Washington Commanders came away with a win at home over the Bears on Monday Night Football off of a deflected Hail Mary that fell into their arms. This year brought another competitive Monday matchup in Washington, but this time, Chicago proved victorious.
It wasn’t a bad performance from the Commanders necessarily, but the three turnovers their offense gave up ultimately doomed them in the loss. At 3-3, they’ll need to stack some wins together in the coming weeks to prepare for the postseason long haul. That said, we believe they’re talented enough to do so.
8) Buffalo Bills
- Last Week’s Ranking: 2
- Offense Rank: 2
- Defense Rank: 12
- Playoff Odds: 94.60%
To the surprise of many, the Buffalo Bills headed into Atlanta and looked like a completely inferior team against the Falcons. Their ten-point loss saw their offense stall out and their defense unable to contain Bijan Robinson.
Sitting at 4-2, the Bills are hardly in danger of their season falling apart. They’ve been too good for too long to sound off any alarm bells, and they’re still tied for the lead in the AFC East. Still, Monday’s matchup was a game that one would’ve expected a powerhouse like Buffalo to come away with.
7) Los Angeles Rams
- Last Week’s Ranking: 9
- Offense Rank: 8
- Defense Rank: 4
- Playoff Odds: 63.80%
An assertive win over the Ravens helps the Los Angeles Rams climb a few spots up the power rankings, improving to 4-2 for the 2025 NFL season in the process. Even with Lamar Jackson still out due to injury, holding an NFL offense to only three points is a significant win for their defense.
So far this year, the Rams’ two losses have come in close games against the Eagles and 49ers, who look like playoff teams at this stage. They’re the only team to beat the Colts as of this writing, and their sustained success over the years indicates they should fare well when their divisional matchups pick up.
6) Seattle Seahawks
- Last Week’s Ranking: 10
- Offense Rank: 6
- Defense Rank: 7
- Playoff Odds: 70.00%
There’s plenty of momentum behind the Seattle Seahawks right now, and their win on Sunday against the Jaguars on the road is evidence of that. They marched into Jacksonville and defeated a hot team on the road, improving to 4-2 with their 20-12 victory.
A big part of Seattle’s hot start to the year has been the play of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has 42 catches for 696 yards and three touchdowns in just six games. With Sam Darnold throwing him the ball, the young wide receiver looks like a serious Offensive Player of the Year contender early in the season.
5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 8
- Offense Rank: 12
- Defense Rank: 22
- Playoff Odds: 89.30%
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been utterly decimated by injuries, but they still have a 5-1 record after a strong 30-19 win over the 49ers on Sunday. Injuries provide some doubt for how they’ll perform in future weeks, but they’ve remained victorious through every ailment their roster has felt to this point.
Baker Mayfield threw for 256 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 6, and he’s remained at a very high level all season. The Buccaneers are coming off consecutive wins against top NFC teams in which they’ve surpassed 30 points scored.
4) Kansas City Chiefs
- Last Week’s Ranking: 12
- Offense Rank: 7
- Defense Rank: 6
- Playoff Odds: 45.50%
Entering Sunday night with a 2-3 record, the Kansas City Chiefs desperately needed a win over the Lions to prove they’re still an NFL powerhouse. They were able to do just that, securing the win over another top team that they had been lacking going into Week 6.
Now, the Chiefs are back at .500 and coming off a decisive 30-17 victory over one of the best teams in the league. We weren’t too worried about Kansas City’s start, seeing as though all of their losses have been against premier teams. Now, they have a signature victory to build off of the rest of this season.
3) Detroit Lions
- Last Week’s Ranking: 1
- Offense Rank: 4
- Defense Rank: 5
- Playoff Odds: 81.00%
The Detroit Lions fell to the Chiefs in primetime on Sunday, but they stay narrowly ahead of the team they beat in the power rankings due to a superior record. That said, Kansas City was pretty decisively the better team in Week 6.
Jared Goff came away with a 79.3% completion percentage with 203 yards and two touchdowns, but the Lions’ lack of explosive plays on offense couldn’t overcome their porous defense against the Chiefs. Still, they factor as one of the best teams in the NFL going into Week 7.
2) Green Bay Packers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 4
- Offense Rank: 10
- Defense Rank: 8
- Playoff Odds: 69.40%
Their defense gave the Bengals some leeway to come back in the second half, but the Green Bay Packers ultimately sealed the deal on Sunday with a 27-18 win at Lambeau Field, boosting their record to 3-1-1 so far in the 2025 NFL season.
Jordan Love had an inconsistent outing on Sunday. Still, he was significantly aided by Josh Jacobs’ two rushing touchdowns and the scoreless first half the Packers’ defense put together against Cincinnati. Green Bay has a talented, well-coached roster, and they look like one of the NFL’s better teams to begin the year thus far.
1) Indianapolis Colts
- Last Week’s Ranking: 3
- Offense Rank: 1
- Defense Rank: 16
- Playoff Odds: 94.70%
The Indianapolis Colts continued their strong start to the 2025 NFL season on Sunday, defeating the Cardinals 31-27 to boost their record to 5-1 going into Week 7. It was a close game, but their offense helped propel them to another win.
With Daniel Jones looking like a potential MVP candidate and Jonathan Taylor performing at an elite level, the Colts’ offense has been extremely tough to stop this year. In the six games they’ve played this season, they average 32.3 points per game. That’s an incredibly tough rate for opposing teams to outperform.

Bucs should be top 3 easily, chiefs shouldn’t even be close to top 8. Terrible list
chiefs glaze goes hard
These ratings are trash. Bucs literally beat Seattle and have a better record and they’re 3 ratings behind? Lol
