In Week 5 of the 2025-26 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Kansas City Chiefs, and fans will enjoy a unique halftime show.
The game, as mentioned, is in Jacksonville, and the team is hosting a “Duuuval Duel.” What is that, you might ask? Here’s what you need to know about this halftime show.
What Is the Halftime Show at Jaguars-Chiefs?
The halftime show during the Jaguars-Chiefs game will feature a “Duuuval Duel” between two guitar players, Erik Lundgren and Curt Towne.
This is part of the lead-up to the November 8 Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks the Red, White and Blue fundraiser concert. That concert will support the charity St. Michael’s Soldiers. The non-profit charity raises funds and awareness to help support U.S. Armed Forces members and their families.
Lundgren used to play in the Johnny Van Zant Band, and The Curt Towne Band will open for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the November 8 concert. Johnny Van Zant is the current vocalist for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
“It’s not a concert,” Towne said. “He’s going to do a solo; I’m going to do a solo. We’ll be going back and forth. Jaxson DeVille [the team’s mascot], have mercy on us.”
Jaguars-Chiefs Preview
Both teams are coming off massive Week 4 wins, and this game also happens to be Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s birthday.

For the Chiefs, they beat the Baltimore Ravens 37-20, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw four touchdowns.
As for the Jaguars, they went on the road and beat the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs are 2-2 while the Jaguars are 3-1.
This is only their second Monday Night Football game at home since 2011.
As for a prediction, we could be in for a surprise Jaguars win. The Jaguars mostly play Cover-3 defense, and statistics from the 2025 season show that Patrick Mahomes has an overall completion percentage of 61.3% through four games. He has completed 87 of his 142 pass attempts
In terms of offense, these teams are neck-and-neck in PFSN’s Offense Impact metric. The Jaguars have a 77.9 grade while the Chiefs are just below that at 76.9.
Lawrence has the ninth-worst QB Impact metric with a grade of 68.5, while Mahomes is at a much better 77.4.
Another factor to consider is the Jaguars’ run defense, which may appear even stronger due to the Chiefs’ lackluster running game.
No running back has had more than 45 yards in an individual game. The Jaguars are allowing just 82.8 rushing yards per game, which is fourth-least in the NFL.
On top of that, Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy is questionable for this matchup with a shoulder/ankle injury.
The Chiefs are road favorites, but don’t be sure they’re walking out of Duval with a “W.”
