The Carolina Panthers will visit the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, specifically regarding WR Xavier Legette.
Is Xavier Legette Playing in Week 2?
Legette is not on the injury report and is expected to play.
We’ll continue to monitor the Panthers’ injury report leading up to kickoff for any changes. You can also visit and bookmark our Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Xavier Legette in Week 2?
In the opener against the Jaguars, an iffy defense where game script worked in the favor of the Panthers’ pass game, Legette managed, checks notes, four fantasy points.
Bryce Young, for one week at least, was unable to build upon his strong finish to the 2024 season and if that sustains, this offense isn’t going to be a great bet to sustain one viable receiver, let alone the WR2 role that is Legette’s ceiling behind Tetairoa McMillan.
I’m not cutting ties just yet, a 20.6% target share is something for a team that will be trailing with regularity this season, but there’s no reason to have him near starting lineups right now.
Sit and hope. Betting on Legette is betting on Young, and if that part of the equation doesn’t look better sooner than later, you shouldn’t hesitate to move on.
