Auburn responded to its quarterback issues by landing three new signal-callers: Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold, Stanford transfer Ashton Daniels, and true freshman Deuce Knight. Arnold, a former Gatorade Player of the Year, is expected to lead the offense this season, while Daniels provides experienced depth and Knight looks to develop behind them.

Arnold brings more than accolades. He played in the SEC during his time with Oklahoma and left a mark that Auburn fans are hoping to see repeated. In a performance against Alabama, Arnold rushed for 131 yards on 25 attempts and completed 9 of 11 passes. His dual-threat ability could be a perfect fit for Freeze’s preferred run-pass option system.
Knight, who flipped his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn in October, is also a dual-threat quarterback. He enters the season with the understanding that a year behind Arnold could prepare him to lead the program in the future. Whether he remains patient will depend on how the season unfolds.
