Who Is Coaching Emma Raducanu at Wimbledon 2025? All You Need To Know About the Brit’s Team

Let us take a look at Emma Raducanu's coaching team as she looks to reach the second week at Wimbledon.

Emma Raducanu is one of just two British women left in the singles event at Wimbledon. The 22-year-old has produced a few promising performances so far in 2025 and will look to progress even further at the grass-court Major under the guidance of her coaching team.

Mark Petchey is Emma Raducanu’s Head Coach at Wimbledon 2025

Raducanu is currently working with Mark Petchey, a familiar face in British tennis circles. Petchey, who briefly coached Andy Murray during his early professional years, joined the 22-year-old’s coaching team during the Miami Open earlier this year. Raducanu’s former coach Nick Cavaday is also working with her during the grass-court season.

The partnership appears to be paying dividends. Raducanu, speaking after her second-round victory over defending champion Markéta Vondroušová, said of Petchey:

“I’d give him 11 out of 10. He’s been everything the last few months for me. I’ve really enjoyed being around him. He’s helped me so much on all fronts, tennis, off court.”

Raducanu is also supported by a multidisciplinary team that covers all facets of her development. Dan Ellis, a nutritionist working under the LTA, oversees her diet and recovery protocols and physiotherapist Ian Aylward has been instrumental in guiding her through rehab post-surgery and ensuring injury prevention.

Her day-to-day training includes hitting sessions with Adam Jones, while Toby West, LTA’s Senior Performance Analyst, assists her with tactical breakdowns and opponent scouting.

Raducanu’s long-time confidante Jane O’Donoghue, who coached her in her junior years, is also a consistent presence. Though not officially listed as a coach, O’Donoghue remains a trusted emotional anchor and mentor within the camp.

Emma Raducanu Will Face Aryna Sabalenka in Wimbledon 2025 3R

Emma Raducanu has done well so far to reach the third round of Wimbledon. The Brit entered the grass-court Major after a second-round exit at the Eastbourne International. She previously exited the Queen’s Club championships in the quarterfinals.

Raducanu faced Mimi Xu in the first round of Wimbledon and won 6-3, 6-3. The Brit then registered a win by the same margin over 2023 champion Markéta Vondroušová to book her place in the third round of the grass-court Major for the second year running.

Here, she has a tough task, as her opponent will be none other than World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. The Belarusian won the only prior encounter between the two, which came in Indian Wells in 2024.
