49ers’ All-Pro ‘Curious’ About Results of Investigation of Electrical Substation’s Role in Players’ Injuries

A 49ers All-Pro is interested in hearing the results of an ongoing investigation into the injury impact of an electrical substation.

The San Francisco 49ers have been plagued by injuries in recent years, including many during the 2025 NFL season. Speculation has recently been growing that it could be related to the electrical substation next door to Levi’s Stadium, their home in Santa Clara, California.

An investigation into the situation is currently underway, and one of the All-Pro players is awaiting the outcome.

49ers’ Injury-Related Electrical Investigation Sparks Curiosity of All-Pro Player

The electrical substation located next to the 49ers’ home stadium has been the focus of a recent investigation. Some reports claim it may be contributing to their long list of injuries across recent seasons, and the team is reportedly looking into it further.

All-Pro fullback Kyle Juszczyk, a Harvard graduate, is one player who has admitted he is interested in hearing the results of these growing claims. He was asked about it during an interview with “Front Office Sports” and gave his take on the developing situation.

“It’s definitely been a talking point for years. It’s one of those things that it’s just so hard to say because the science is not clear behind it, and I’m very much a science-driven person, and I want to see the numbers and the statistics … I want to see what someone who truly understands that field, what they have to say about it, and I’d just be curious to know,” stated Juszczyk.

Injuries were a major storyline for the 49ers during the 2025 season, and, as many around the NFL have pointed out, this has been an alarming trend for them in recent years. Notable names from this past season include Nick Bosa, who played in just three games, and Fred Warner, who played in six.

George Kittle also missed six games this year and is a former All-Pro. He still managed to finish fifth among all tight ends in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for this season, but his absences, along with several other of their best players, likely played a role in their eventual finish to the year.

The 49ers still impressively made it to the NFL Playoffs with their depleted roster before being eventually eliminated by the Seattle Seahawks, who will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. It will be played at Levi’s Stadium, and many will be watching closely for any potential injuries.
