Fred Warner reacts strongly to rival Seahawks taking over San Francisco’s locker room before their Super Bowl game against the Patriots.

Tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST, the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will face off in Super Bowl 60 at the San Francisco 49ers’ own Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

On the NBC broadcast, 49ers linebacker Fred Warner talked about the matchup, specifically his thoughts on a rival team using San Francisco’s locker room.

Fred Warner ‘Tortured’ By Seahawks Taking Over 49ers Locker Room

On NBC’s broadcast, Warner spoke with commentator Noah Eagle in the 49ers’ locker room, now outfitted for the Seahawks. In response to seeing the division rivals’ gear in his own locker room, Warner said, “It’s taking everything in me not to start ripping stuff down in here. I mean come on, it’s like torture for me.”

This season, the Seahawks and the 49ers faced off three different times: twice in the regular season and an additional time in the playoffs.

Their first face-off occurred in Week 1 of the NFL season. The 49ers beat the Seahawks by a score of 17-13, one of the few games that Warner played in before suffering a season-ending ankle injury.

Their next game was another low-scoring game that was played in the final week of the NFL season. However, the Seahawks hung on to win 13-3.

Their final game occurred in the NFL playoff Divisional Round on Jan. 17. Unlike the previous two games, this was a high-scoring one, but only for one team. The Seahawks obliterated the 49ers by a score of 41-6.

As mentioned previously, Warner only played a few games in the 2025 season before suffering an ankle injury. Warner is consistently one of the best linebackers in the league, and maybe the best middle linebacker in the current era of football.

That’s why it’s no surprise that despite only playing in six games, Warner finished ranked as the 10th-best linebacker in PFSN’s NFL Linebacker Impact Metric. In his limited snaps, he finished with an impact score of 87.2 and a letter grade of B+. He finished his season with 51 total tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three passes defended.

It undoubtedly stings that the Seahawks are using the 49ers’ locker room, but Warner’s return will turn around San Francisco’s defense and put them back into the contender category.
