Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season has come and gone. Jameis Winston threw for over 360 yards, Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to a narrow victory over the Indianapolis Colts, and Matthew Stafford continued his case to be the 2025 NFL MVP. This and much more resulted in significant movement across the quarterback landscape.
PFSN has you covered with your QB rankings for the 2025 season, as our QBi metric puts a numerical value on how each one performs every week. Note that these rankings only include the games played this year, not any previous games from other seasons, or factoring into each player’s reputation.

40) Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 49.8 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 38
With the Cincinnati Bengals’ acquisition of Joe Flacco heading into Week 6, Jake Browning has since transitioned back into a backup role. That said, he did throw one pass for a 14-yard gain in their loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
39) Dillon Gabriel, Cleveland Browns
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 51.5 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 37
Dillon Gabriel didn’t play in Week 12, as Shedeur Sanders took the reins in the Cleveland Browns’ win over the Raiders. The former sees his QBi grade stay the same as a result.
38) J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 52.5 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 35
J.J. McCarthy continues his streak of throwing interceptions in the first few games of his NFL starting career. He threw two of them on Sunday, failing to score any touchdowns and passing for just 87 yards in the Minnesota Vikings’ 23-6 loss to the Packers in Week 12.
McCarthy’s transition to the NFL has been a brutal one thus far. Even with a talented group of weapons and a smart offensive head coach in Kevin O’Connell, his accuracy and decision-making haven’t been up to par. His -0.34 EPA per dropback is tied for the worst of all 40 quarterbacks on this list. He’s still very new to the league, so there’s reason to believe things will get better, but the growing pains have been rough.
37) Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 58.6 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 36
It hasn’t been a pretty introduction to the NFL in Cam Ward’s rookie season. That said, he came away from Sunday with one of his better performances of the year. Though the Tennessee Titans ended up losing to the Seahawks, Ward threw for 256 yards with a touchdown, no interceptions, and a 91.0 passer rating, along with 37 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries.
Ward is still just 37th in EPA per dropback at -0.14, and his 5.0 net yards per attempt ranks only 39th. But games like the one he had on Sunday show that there’s promise in his game, even if his rookie mistakes are amplified by the lack of significant talent around him on Tennessee’s offense.
36) Russell Wilson, New York Giants
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 60.6 (D-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 34
Jaxson Dart missed Week 12 due to a concussion, but the New York Giants decided to start Jameis Winston over Russell Wilson, the latter of whom had begun the season as their starting QB.
35) Davis Mills, Houston Texans
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 63.7 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 33
In a stunning turn of events, the Houston Texans remain red-hot under Davis Mills. He helped lead them to an upset victory over the Bills on Thursday night, taking on a lighter workload but still throwing for two touchdowns with no interceptions in the process.
With a 27.70% third-down conversion rate, Mills is only 36th in the NFL in that regard. His -0.6 EPA per dropback under pressure is also the fourth-worst in the league, indicating he struggles with decision-making and creativity under duress. But as long as the Texans keep winning while Mills fills in for C.J. Stroud, the team will be content.
34) Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 67.2 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 30
Just one week after putting up 448 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Falcons, Bryce Young fell back down to Earth on Monday night against the 49ers. He finished with just 169 passing yards, throwing a touchdown but also adding two interceptions in the loss.
Young remains one of the more frustrating quarterbacks in the NFL. He’s thrown for fewer than 200 passing yards in nine of his 11 starts this season, but both of those two exceptions saw him throw for three touchdowns and surpass at least 320 passing yards. The flashes are there, but they’re too far between stints of poor play.
33) Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.8 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 31
Spencer Rattler remains benched in favor of rookie Tyler Shough. His QBi grade remains unchanged this week.
32) Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.9 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 29
The Cincinnati Bengals kept things more competitive than many likely expected, but they were unable to stop the Patriots’ winning streak on Sunday. Joe Flacco threw for 183 yards with a touchdown, an interception, and a passer rating of just 63.2 in the loss.
There was some hope that Flacco would turn things around upon his trade from Cleveland to Cincinnati, and at first, those signs were showing. Coming off of two games with interceptions and passing yardage totals lower than 200 in each, though, he now has the Bengals counting down the days until Joe Burrow comes back.
31) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.9 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 32
It was a Jekyll and Hyde-type of performance for Trevor Lawrence on Sunday, as he threw for three passing touchdowns but also gave up three interceptions to the Cardinals. The Jacksonville Jaguars would end up winning the game thanks to those highs, but it was only a three-point victory thanks to those lows.
Lawrence is now third in the NFL with 11 interceptions thrown in 11 games, and his 59.8% completion percentage is only better than six other quarterbacks on this list. The Jaguars keep winning games around him, but in Year 5 of his professional career, he should really be much further along than he currently is.
30) Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 67.5 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: N/R
Tyler Shough makes his debut in PFSN’s QB rankings this week, as he’s now thrown enough passes to become eligible for the list. On Sunday, he threw for 243 yards with a 69.8% completion percentage, but he tossed an interception with no touchdowns in the New Orleans Saints’ loss to the Falcons.
Obviously, Shough’s smaller sample size makes it more challenging to come to concrete conclusions about his game than other quarterbacks on this list. That said, his -0.56 EPA per dropback under pressure ranks just 36th in the NFL, and his EPA throughout the whole game remains negative through his first four games.
29) Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.6 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 24
When Geno Smith actually had time to throw the ball on Sunday, he wasn’t all that bad. He completed 30 of his 44 passing attempts, going for 285 passing yards and a touchdown with no interceptions in the process. However, the Las Vegas Raiders allowed him to be sacked 10 times, which helped kill any momentum their offense could gain in the loss to the Browns.
Smith avoided throwing an interception on Sunday, which is just the third game he’s done so all year. He’s still tied for the NFL’s most picks thrown, but his turnover-prone style of play this season has negatively affected his QBi standing.
28) Justin Fields, New York Jets
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.8 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 28
Tyrod Taylor returned to the New York Jets’ starting lineup on Sunday, so Justin Fields’ QBi grade doesn’t change this week.
27) Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.0 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 27
Aaron Rodgers missed Week 12 due to injury, as Mason Rudolph took his place in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Bears.
26) Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.9 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 26
Michael Penix Jr. suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 11, so his QBi grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
25) Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 71.9 (C-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 22
Things started poorly for Baker Mayfield on Sunday night, but they ended up getting worse when he suffered a shoulder injury that took him out of the game. Before he was pulled in favor of the backup Teddy Bridgewater, Mayfield threw for only 41 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended up losing to the Rams 34-7 in a brutal blowout.
24) Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.3 (C-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 25
Carson Wentz is expected to miss the rest of the 2025 regular season due to a shoulder injury. His grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
23) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 73.3 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 23
Tua Tagovailoa didn’t play in Week 12, as the Miami Dolphins had their bye week. His QBi goes unchanged coming out of this week.
22) Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.4 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 21
Jayden Daniels missed Week 12 due to a dislocated elbow, and he’s expected to miss much more than that going forward.
21) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.0 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 18
Kyler Murray didn’t play in Week 12, as Jacoby Brissett seems to have taken over the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback job.
20) C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.1 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 19
C.J. Stroud missed Week 12 with a concussion, leaving Davis Mills to start in his place. Luckily for the Houston Texans, they still came away with the victory.
19) Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.9 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 16
The Arizona Cardinals continue to rely on a heavy workload through the air for Jacoby Brissett, and he’s fared pretty well with the challenging assignments. They ended up losing the Jaguars by three points on Sunday, but Brissett completed 33 of his 49 passes for 317 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions.
Brissett is now coming off consecutive games with 317 and 452 passing yards, respectively. The Cardinals are indeed moving the ball down the field with him at quarterback. Still, with a below-average touchdown percentage of 4.2%, Brissett arguably isn’t converting on those opportunities as often as he should.
18) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.4 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 20
The Chicago Bears continued their winning ways, picking up their eighth win in their last nine games in their win over the Steelers on Sunday. Caleb Williams did a solid job of helping them get there, throwing for 239 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the victory.
With a completion percentage of just 59.2%, Williams remains quite inconsistent in terms of his placement down the field. His average depth of target is large, however, as he has the third-most passes beyond 20 air yards. That’s hurting his completion percentage, though he has an impressive 101.7 passer rating on said deep throws.
17) Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.6 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 17
With the Denver Broncos on bye in Week 12, Bo Nix didn’t suit up this week. His QBi grade stays the same as a result.
16) Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.6 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 15
Marcus Mariota didn’t play this weekend, as Week 12 served as the Washington Commanders’ bye. He remains the second-best backup QB in the NFL this season by our grading metrics, though.
15) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.6 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 10
Sunday was hardly an MVP-caliber performance from Lamar Jackson, as he ended with a passer rating of just 76.9 and didn’t score a single touchdown. He only ran for 11 yards on seven carries, too. Still, he did enough to help the Baltimore Ravens extend their winning streak, defeating the Jets 23-10 and improving to 6-5 on the year.
Jackson’s production continues to be modest since his return to the starting lineup, though he’s still been battling injuries through these games. Even if he isn’t lighting the world on fire, the Ravens are still winning games, which is the most crucial thing after how poorly they started the season.
14) Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 78.4 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 9
It took them going to overtime to do it, but Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions managed to topple the Giants in a tight battle in Week 12. In the win at Ford Field, Goff finished with 279 passing yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a 91.3 passer rating for the afternoon.
Goff is tied for second in the NFL with 23 passing touchdowns, and he’s still tied for eighth in the league with a 0.15 EPA per dropback average. His inconsistency under pressure has dropped him out of the top ten in QBi grading, though; his EPA per dropback average is only 29th of the 40 quarterbacks qualified for this list.
13) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.4 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 14
Coming off a down game against the Jaguars, Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers didn’t play in Week 12 because of their bye. He figures to flirt with a top-ten spot for the remainder of the season, so it will be interesting to see if he makes it back up there.
12) Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.6 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 13
Jaxson Dart missed Week 12 due to a concussion, with Jameis Winston taking his place in the starting lineup. His QBi grade doesn’t change for the week.
11) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.9 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 12
Patrick Mahomes helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a key overtime victory over the Colts on Sunday, preventing them from fading away in the AFC Wild Card race. He didn’t have any touchdowns, but he threw one pick and still threw for a stellar 352 yards, helping his team march down the field in the victory.
As one could expect out of the three-time Super Bowl champion, Mahomes has been nails under duress this season. His EPA per dropback when pressured is the highest in the NFL, and he leads the league with 270.6 passing yards per game. His completion percentage is below the league average this year, but it’s been a strong campaign altogether.
10) Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.0 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 11
Brock Purdy returned to the San Francisco 49ers’ starting lineup, so Mac Jones’ QBi doesn’t change this week. While the former should eventually work his way back into eligibility for this list, it doesn’t hurt to know the 49ers have one of the best backups in the NFL.
9) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.5 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 9
Jalen Hurts’ TD: INT ratio remains a thing of beauty, as he scored a total of three touchdowns with no picks for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He also threw for 289 passing yards and ran for 33 more, though his team ended up losing to the Cowboys off a last-second field goal try.
Of the 18 starting quarterbacks who have started every one of their teams’ respective games, Hurts has the second-fewest passing attempts and the third-fewest passing yards. He also has the lowest interception percentage of just 0.3% this season, though, and his 25 touchdowns to just one pick all season is something to marvel at.
8) Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 81.5 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 7
There’s still more football to be played, but if there’s one favorite to win NFL MVP right now, it’s got to be Matthew Stafford. He continued his hot streak of play in the Los Angeles Rams’ blowout win over the Buccaneers on Sunday night. He ended the night with 273 passing yards, three touchdowns, no picks, and an impressive 122.7 passer rating.
Stafford has been the subject of NFL MVP buzz this year, and it’s no surprise why. The Rams have an impressive 9-2 record, and he leads the league in all of the following categories: passing touchdowns, touchdown percentage, first downs, passer rating, and longest pass. The only actual knock on him analytically is that he’s 25th in EPA per dropback under pressure.
7) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 84.1 (B)
Last Week’s Ranking: 6
Coming out of the bye week, the Dallas Cowboys are now winners of their last two games. That includes an upset victory over the Eagles on Sunday, during which Dak Prescott threw for an insane 354 yards, adding three total touchdowns, an interception, and a 103.2 passer rating to the mix.
ESPN uses QBR as their alternate to the traditional passer rating, and Prescott leads the NFL at 74.1 in their statistic. He ranks in at least the top 13 in practically every one of PFSN’s major passing analytical categories, including his second-best EPA per dropback under pressure, trailing only Patrick Mahomes.
6) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 84.5 (B)
Last Week’s Ranking: 5
After a brutal four-interception outing against the Rams in Week 11, Sam Darnold bounced back quite well in the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the Titans on Sunday. He finished the game with 244 passing yards, throwing for two touchdowns, no interceptions, and an impressive 118.1 passer rating.
Darnold has had a stranglehold over the highest net yards per attempt average all year, as his 9.1 average is nearly a whole yard ahead of Drake Maye, who’s in second place at 8.3. That’s benefited heavily by his NFL-best 13.5 yards per completion this season, even if he is tied for fourth in the league with 10 interceptions thrown.
5) Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 87.3 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 2
Having lost two of their last three games, the Indianapolis Colts need a bounce-back coming off their overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. Still, Daniel Jones wasn’t bad at all in the loss, only throwing for 181 yards but adding two passing touchdowns with no interceptions in the process.
After a red-hot start, which saw him dominate the No. 1 spot in QBi grading for much of the first half of the year, Daniel Jones has cooled down in recent weeks. Still, he’s seventh in the league in EPA per dropback, fourth in third-down conversion rate, tied for third in net yards per attempt, and third in EPA per designed QB run.
4) Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 87.4 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: N/R
Having missed much of the year due to injury, Brock Purdy makes his return to the QBi rankings after throwing enough passes to be become eligible again. He ranked near the top of this list the first few weeks of the year before missing a considerable amount of time, and he makes his return at No. 4 despite a middling outing against the Panthers.
The San Francisco 49ers are now 3-1 in the four games Purdy has started this season, though the three interceptions he threw against Carolina didn’t help much. Still, he has the highest third-down conversion rate in the NFL, and he has the fifth-highest EPA per dropback in a clean pocket.
3) Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 87.6 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 4
It wasn’t the flashiest stat line for Jordan Love on Sunday, but the most important thing is that the Green Bay Packers came out with the win. In their victory over the Vikings at Lambeau Field, Love ended up with just 139 passing yards with a 66.7% completion percentage, not throwing any touchdowns but avoiding interceptions in the process.
In a clean pocket, Love’s EPA per dropback average of 0.56 is nearly a whole tenth of a point higher than the second-place finisher, Drake Maye. He ranks in the top ten in such statistical categories as lowest interception ratio, passer rating, EPA per dropback, third-down conversion rate, and EPA per designed QB run.
2) Drake Maye, New England Patriots
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 88.0 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 3
Drake “Drake Maye” Maye led the New England Patriots to their ninth win in a row on Sunday, defeating the Bengals 26-20. He threw an interception in the win, but he also added a touchdown with 294 passing yards and a respectable 87.1 passer rating against Cincinnati.
At 0.23, Maye has the highest EPA per dropback of any quarterback in the NFL right now. His 8.3 net yards per attempt is the second-highest in the league; he’s second behind only Jordan Love in EPA in a clean pocket, and he’s fifth in EPA under pressure. He’s playing just about as well as any QB out there right now.
1) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.6 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 1
Thursday night was a game to forget for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, as they got totally swarmed by the Texans’ defense in a 23-19 upset loss. Allen got sacked a whopping eight times, throwing two interceptions with no passing touchdowns in the defeat, marking only the second game he hasn’t scored in all season.
Allen’s QBi grade fell from an A- to a B+ after the loss on Thursday, but he’s still done well enough this year to remain in the top spot. He ranks in the top five in practically every analytical category PFSN uses to evaluate the quarterback position, and he ranks second behind only Matthew Stafford in total touchdowns when you include his ten rushing touchdowns, which lead all QBs and rank third for all NFL players.
