2025 NFL QB Rankings: Josh Allen Jumps to No. 1, Sam Darnold Drops After 4-INT Outing vs. Rams

Going into Week 12, check how every NFL team's quarterback ranks against each other using PFSN's QB Impact metric system.

Week 11 of the 2025 NFL season is now in the rearview mirror. Teams like the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots continued their winning streaks, while the Los Angeles Rams outlasted the Seattle Seahawks in a duel of top NFC contenders. Additionally, Jacoby Brissett broke the record for the most completions by a quarterback in a single game.

PFSN has you covered with your QB rankings for the 2025 season, as our QBi metric puts a numerical value on how each one performs every week. Note that these rankings only include the games played this year, not any previous games from other seasons, or factoring into each player’s reputation.

38) Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 48.9 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 38

With the Cincinnati Bengals’ acquisition of Joe Flacco heading into Week 6, Jake Browning has since transitioned back into a backup role. Judging by how poorly he performed in relief of Joe Burrow, that’s probably for the best.

37) Dillon Gabriel, Cleveland Browns

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 50.6 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 37

Sunday ended early for Dillon Gabriel, as he suffered a concussion during the Cleveland Browns’ matchup against the Ravens. Before getting hurt, he completed seven of 10 passing attempts for 68 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions thrown. Dillon was replaced by what many fans felt was the Browns’ “better” quarterback choice, Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders didn’t perform very well, and his post-match behavior drew backlash from veterans and analysts. All told, Dillon was better than he’s looked for most of what’s been a rough adjustment to the NFL.

36) Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 52.6 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 36

It was more of the same out of Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans’ offense on Sunday. They scored just 13 points in their loss at home to the Texans, and Ward threw for 194 yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t his worst game, but that would be a pretty high bar to surpass.

It almost feels unfair to rank Ward this low, considering how poor the supporting cast is around him in Tennessee. That said, he ranks 35th in EPA per dropback and has the third-worst EPA average under pressure in the entire NFL. His rookie season has been one to forget.

35) J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 55.5 (F)

Last Week’s Ranking: 35

Despite coming back with 14 points in the fourth quarter, the Minnesota Vikings were unable to topple the Bears on Sunday. One of the factors going into the loss was the instability of J.J. McCarthy, as he completed only 16 of his 32 passing attempts and threw two interceptions.

Among qualified quarterbacks, McCarthy’s 52.9% completion percentage is the worst in the NFL. He’s also thrown at least one interception in each of the first five starts of his career, and he’s only completed over 60% of his passes in one of those five games.

34) Russell Wilson, New York Giants

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 60.1 (D-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 33

Jaxson Dart missed Week 11 due to a concussion, but the New York Giants decided to start Jameis Winston over Russell Wilson, the latter of whom had begun the season as their starting QB.

33) Davis Mills, Houston Texans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 64.4 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: N/R

Davis Mills makes his debut in PFSN’s QBi rankings with his start on Sunday, leading the Houston Texans to a narrow 16-13 win over the Titans. He threw for 274 yards and a touchdown in the win, standing in for the injured C.J. Stroud.

Obviously, Mills will revert to a backup role once Stroud becomes healthy enough to play again. The former clearly hasn’t lit the world on fire as Houston’s temporary starter, but he’s led them to two consecutive wins, which bodes well for their playoff hopes down the stretch.

32) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.3 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 31

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off a stunning blowout of the Chargers on Sunday, picking up the 35-6 win in front of their home crowd. That score was admittedly impacted more by the Jaguars’ run game than by Trevor Lawrence’s passing, but he did finish the game with two touchdowns to offset his interception.

It says a lot about Lawrence’s season when the 63.6% completion percentage he had against the Chargers ranks as one of his most accurate performances of the year. Even still, the Jaguars find a way to win, as they now sit at 6-4 for the 2025 NFL season.

31) Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.5 (D)

Last Week’s Ranking: 30

The New Orleans Saints had their bye week in Week 11, but Spencer Rattler has been benched for rookie Tyler Shough, anyway. His QBi grade remains unchanged this week, although he drops a spot due to movement around him at the position.

30) Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 67.2 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 32

After seven consecutive performances with fewer than 200 passing yards, Bryce Young exploded out of nowhere to the tune of 448 passing yards and three touchdowns in the Carolina Panthers’ victory over the Falcons on Sunday.

Sitting at 6-5, the Panthers are firmly in the mix for a Wild Card spot in the NFC. Their passing attack has been a limiting factor in their inconsistency this season, but if Young keeps putting up stellar outings like he did in Week 11, they could stack up a couple more wins as the playoff race heats up.

29) Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.4 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 26

Sunday’s revival of the “Unc Bowl” didn’t live up to the standard set by the first one, as Aaron Rodgers got hurt and Joe Flacco had a mediocre performance. The latter had 199 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception and a 68.6 passer rating in the Cincinnati Bengals’ loss to the Steelers.

Generally speaking, Flacco has been much better with the Bengals than he was with the Browns earlier in the season. Those early-season performances have hurt his QBi grading to this point, but this week, he takes a step back due to a down outing for Cincinnati.

28) Justin Fields, New York Jets

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.8 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 28

The New York Jets fell to the Patriots on Thursday night, and the fallout at the quarterback position should be interesting. Justin Fields scored two touchdowns in the loss, but he threw for only 116 yards for a 4.5 yards per attempt average.

The notable news for Fields, though, is the Jets’ decision to bench him in favor of Tyrod Taylor as their starting quarterback. New York signed him to a two-year contract this past offseason, but given the way that this year has gone for him, it would be surprising to see him stick around for Year 2.

27) Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.0 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 27

Aaron Rodgers’ Week 11 performance against the Bengals was cut short due to a wrist injury, with Mason Rudolph taking his place midway through the game. Before he got hurt, he completed nine of his 15 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ blowout victory.

26) Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.7 (D+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 29

Michael Penix Jr.’s first season as the Atlanta Falcons’ starting quarterback came to an unfortunate end on Sunday, as he suffered a season-ending knee injury in their 30-27 loss to the Falcons. The loss dropped Atlanta to 3-7 for the season.

In his nine starts this year, Penix finished off 2025 with 1,982 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns, three interceptions, a 60.1% completion percentage, and an 88.5 passer rating. Kirk Cousins is expected to finish the year starting in his place.

25) Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.3 (C-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 25

Carson Wentz is expected to miss the rest of the 2025 regular season due to a shoulder injury. His grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.

24) Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.4 (C-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 24

Check back for Geno Smith’s updated grade after Monday Night Football.

23) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 73.3 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 22

Perhaps quietly, the Miami Dolphins have won three of their previous four games. Tua Tagovailoa was a competent game manager in their victory over the Commanders on Sunday, not throwing for any touchdowns but avoiding interceptions with a 96.0 passer rating in the win.

Avoiding an interception was key for Tagovailoa, as he leads the NFL with 13 interceptions coming out of Week 11. His turnover-prone style of play has kept him in the bottom half of these rankings to this point in the season.

22) Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 73.5 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 23

It’s been a rocky season for Baker Mayfield after a hot start right out of the gate. Though he threw an interception in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ loss to the Bills on Sunday, he showed enough stability with two total touchdowns in the defeat to improve his QBi ranking.

Mayfield has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in two of his last three starts, which is uncharacteristic for what’s usually an explosive Buccaneers passing attack. Granted, injuries to the wide receivers and offensive line have played a significant role in that.

21) Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.3 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 21

Jayden Daniels missed Week 10 due to a dislocated elbow, and he’s expected to miss much more than that going forward.

20) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.0 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 16

Caleb Williams finds himself sliding a couple spots down PFSN’s quarterback rankings, but because the Chicago Bears picked up yet another win on Sunday, that’s a trade-off he’d surely take. He didn’t throw any interceptions in the win over Minnesota, but he completed only 50.0% of his passes and threw for just 193 yards.

Generally speaking, Williams ranks in the middle of the pack in practically every advanced analytical category that PFSN has. His unstable deep ball affects his completion percentage, although he has looked excellent from intermediate range. Consistency with his touch will be key to having him rise back into the top half of these rankings.

19) C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.1 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 19

C.J. Stroud missed Week 11 with a concussion, leaving Davis Mills to start in his place. Luckily for the Houston Texans, they still came away with the victory.

18) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.2 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 18

Kyler Murray didn’t play in Week 11, as Jacoby Brissett seems to have taken over the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback job.

17) Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.6 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 17

For the eighth game in a row, Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos came out victorious. In their 22-19 last-second victory over the Chiefs, Nix threw for 295 yards, not adding any touchdowns into the equation but also avoiding interceptions in a clean performance.

Throughout the 2025 NFL season, Nix’s QBi grade has generally been in line with the consensus that he’s a strong game manager at quarterback. He hasn’t particularly elevated the Broncos’ offense, but as one can clearly see from their 9-2 record, he hasn’t prevented them from winning games, either.

16) Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.9 (C)

Last Week’s Ranking: 15

Jacoby Brissett set a record on Sunday, completing an NFL-best 47 passes. On those completions, he threw for a whopping 452 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions, however, and the Arizona Cardinals’ defense dug too deep a hole for him to come out of in their loss to the 49ers.

In his five starts this season, Brissett is averaging an impressive 314 passing yards per game. That average is admittedly slanted after his wild performance against the 49ers, but he’s been moving the ball down the field at a high rate for Arizona. They’re only 1-4 in those starts with Brissett at the helm, though, which speaks more to the organization’s state of disarray.

15) Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.5 (C+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 20

Though the Washington Commanders couldn’t pick up the win in Madrid on Sunday, Marcus Mariota performed pretty well in relief for Jayden Daniels. He threw an interception but also had 213 passing yards and a touchdown, along with four carries for 49 rushing yards in the loss to the Dolphins.

Obviously, this season hasn’t gone according to plan for the Commanders. At the very least, though, they know that they have a quality backup in Mariota. He’s currently tied for tenth in the NFL in EPA per dropback, and his 0.12 average is the same as Lamar Jackson’s this season.

14) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.8 (C+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 12

If you’re Justin Herbert, Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars is a game you’d prefer to put in the rearview mirror. The Los Angeles Chargers scored just six points all afternoon, and Herbert threw for only 81 yards with a pitiful 44.0 passer rating, no touchdowns, and an interception.

It’s pretty clear that Herbert is one of the most gifted quarterbacks in the NFL, but those traits haven’t always been on full display this season. The Chargers are still in a firm position for a playoff spot, though, so there’s plenty of time for him to bounce back as he works towards the goal of winning in the postseason.

13) Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.1 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 14

Jaxson Dart missed Week 11 due to a concussion, with Jameis Winston taking his place in the starting lineup. His QBi ranking improves one spot due to movement around him at the position.

12) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.2 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 11

While 2025 hasn’t been a bad season for Patrick Mahomes by any means, he hasn’t quite been up to his NFL MVP standard of play this year. That continued on Sunday in the Kansas City Chiefs’ narrow loss to the Broncos, in which he threw a touchdown and an interception with a 79.5 passer rating.

Despite the Chiefs’ disappointing record, Mahomes has had some encouraging tidbits this year. In particular, he has the seventh-best EPA per dropback under pressure in the NFL, though he ranks just outside of the top ten in most of PFSN’s other analytical categories.

11) Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.2 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 13

Brock Purdy made his return to the San Francisco 49ers’ starting lineup, so Mac Jones’ QBi doesn’t change this week. While the former should eventually work his way back into eligibility for this list, it doesn’t hurt to know the 49ers have one of the best backups in the NFL.

10) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.4 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 8

Lamar Jackson was uncharacteristically inefficient against the Browns, throwing two interceptions with no touchdowns and 193 passing yards. He also only ran for ten yards on four carries, but the Baltimore Ravens still found a way to pick up the win against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Week 11 was easily Jackson’s worst performance of the 2025 NFL season to date. Though he’s been otherwise pretty good this season when healthy, his average of 32.3 rushing yards per game is currently the lowest of his eight-year career.

9) Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.5 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 7

Following a game against the Eagles, in which he completed only 37.8% of his passing attempts, it is hardly surprising that Jared Goff sees his QBi ranking slide a few spots as a result. While he still ranks in the top ten, the Nos. 8-14 spots are tight enough that he could easily fall out of that category with another down game.

Even with his bad outing in the Detroit Lions’ loss to Philadelphia, Goff has had a strong season thus far. He’s still tied for fourth in the NFL in EPA per dropback, most notably having the third-best EPA per dropback under pressure of any QB in the league heading into Week 12.

8) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.7 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 9

Sunday was hardly a stellar outing for Jalen Hurts, as he completed only half of his 28 passing attempts and finished with a passer rating of just 63.8. Still, he helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a key victory over the Lions on Sunday night with a rushing touchdown.

With 16 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns to just one interception all season, Hurts has taken on somewhat of a game-manager role for a talented Eagles offense that’s relied heavily on the ground game. Though that playing style might not make Hurts a real NFL MVP contender, he’s doing well enough in his role to win the Eagles’ games.

7) Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 81.8 (B-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 6

Week 11 was hardly the flashiest performance for Matthew Stafford, as his 53.6% completion percentage wasn’t anything to write home about. Still, he played a clean game with two touchdowns and no interceptions as the Los Angeles Rams picked up a key win over the Seahawks.

Stafford is tied for the third-highest clutch sum in our database, and he leads the NFL with 27 passing touchdowns. He’s firmly an MVP candidate at this stage of the year, and a win over a team as talented as Seattle should help his case further.

6) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.4 (B)

Last Week’s Ranking: 10

Check back for Geno Smith’s updated grade after Monday Night Football.

5) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.3 (B)

Last Week’s Ranking: 3

In a season that has seen him emerge as a potential MVP contender, Sam Darnold’s candidacy took a big hit in the Seattle Seahawks’ loss to the Rams on Sunday. In particular, he threw a headache-inducing four interceptions with no touchdowns, finishing with a measly 45.5 passer rating.

Even still, Darnold leads the NFL with 9.1 net yards per attempt, and he’s tied for sixth in the league with 0.17 EPA per dropback. Sunday was a brutal outing for him, but it’s generally been an excellent year for Seattle’s signal-caller.

4) Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 88.1 (B+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 1

Jordan Love’s reign atop the QBi leaderboard was brief, but he still finds himself in the top five after the conclusion of Week 11. He led the Green Bay Packers to a win over the Giants on Sunday, throwing for two touchdowns and avoiding an interception, even if he threw for only 174 yards and a 54.1% completion percentage.

Heading into Week 12, Love has the highest third-down conversion rate in the NFL and has the second-best EPA per dropback average in a clean pocket. It’s been a pretty strong year for the Packers’ franchise QB as they push for the top spot in a loaded NFC North.

3) Drake Maye, New England Patriots

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.0 (B+)

Last Week’s Ranking: 4

The New England Patriots continued their winning ways on Thursday night, defeating the Jets 27-14 to pick up their eighth win in a row. Drake Maye played a significant role in that victory, throwing for 281 yards and a passing touchdown.

With a 0.24 EPA per dropback, Maye has the highest average in the league, and he has the second-highest net yards per attempt behind only Sam Darnold. He’s been as consistent as they come, leading the charge for an explosive Patriots passing attack to keep them at the top of the AFC East.

2) Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 90.5 (A-)

Last Week’s Ranking: 2

The Indianapolis Colts had their bye week in Week 11, so Daniel Jones didn’t play this week. As one could expect, given his extremely high grade, Jones ranks in the top five in practically every major passing category that PFSN has in its analytics database. His season has been fantastic overall, but he’s coming off two down performances.

1) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 93.2 (A)

Last Week’s Ranking: 5

After a performance for the ages on Sunday against the Buccaneers, Josh Allen finds himself back at the top of the QBi rankings heading into Week 12. He scored a whopping six total touchdowns (three rushing, three passing) and threw for 317 yards in the Buffalo Bills’ victory.

Allen has maintained his strong reputation, following his MVP performance in the NFL last season. He’s second in EPA per dropback, third in EPA average in a clean pocket, fourth in third-down conversion rate, and perhaps most importantly, first in PFSN’s clutch sum rating.
