‘Absolute Clown Show’ — WNBA World Reacts to Angel Reese’s ‘Horrendous’ Shooting Form in Viral Warmup

Angel Reese attracted criticism from WNBA fans as a video of her attempting three-pointers during a shootaround went viral.

Angel Reese is enjoying a dominant debut season with the Atlanta Dream, averaging a double-double at 12.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.

However, her three-point shooting caught the attention of WNBA fans, who criticized her form and shot mechanics.

WNBA World Mocks Angel Reese’s Three-Point Shootaround Video

Reese is certainly not known for her shooting from deep, having made just 1 three-pointer this season. The 6-foot-4 forward is attempting to improve that record and practiced her three-point shooting during a shootaround ahead of the Atlanta Dream’s game against the Indiana Fever on Thursday.

ESPN’s Kareem Copeland shared a video of Reese working to improve her three-point shooting, and fans were quick to share their thoughts on her form.

“Angel Reese working from distance at shootaround,” Copeland wrote on X.

NFL Insider Dan Dakich questioned whether Reese had received any coaching on how to improve her three-pointer. “My gawd…. She’s literally doing it backwards. Does the WNBA not have coaches,” he wrote.

One user criticized the mechanics and technique of Reese’s three-point shooting. “Horrendous shooting form,” they wrote.

One basketball content creator questioned why the left-handed Reese appeared to bring her right foot forward while shooting.

“Are they about to transition her to shooting right-handed? What is this?” He questioned.

Sports broadcaster Roger Lodge also noted how Reese kept bringing her right foot forward despite being left-handed. He also hit out at the Dream coaches for not tweaking her form.

“The Fact that a Left-Handed Shooter is leading with her Right Foot, could not be more Absurd and Flat out RIDICULOUS! Do they not have shooting coaches in the WNBA? What an Absolute Clown Show,” he wrote.

Another basketball content creator also questioned the lack of coaching.

“The right leg motion is throwing me off Where are the shooting coaches? Stepping with the opposite leg???” He wrote.

There was more criticism surrounding Reese’s shooting technique and the lack of fluidity.

“It’s mind-boggling that this woman gets paid to play basketball.  This is literally the worst shooting form you could ever have,” one content creator wrote on X.
