The Indiana Fever backcourt turned Climate Pledge Arena into their personal shooting gallery on Tuesday night. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell dropped a combined 60 points to power Indiana past the Seattle Storm, 105-95.
The win marked the Fever’s fourth consecutive victory, pushing their record to an impressive 18-10. And unsurprisingly, Clark was the star of the night in Indiana’s third triumph over the Storm this season, drawing high praise from WNBA fans on social media.
Fever Star Caitlin Clark Weathers the Storm With Historic Performance
Clark made light work of Seattle’s defensive schemes, finishing with a team-high 32 points. She was remarkably efficient from the floor, shooting 9-for-14, including 4-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Her ability to read the defense and exploit gaps kept the Storm scrambling all night, and besides her shooting, Clark also orchestrated the offense with ease, delivering 7 assists while finding open teammates whenever Seattle attempted to trap her.
Draining all 10 of her free-throw attempts, Clark’s Tuesday night production made her the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500-plus points and 150-plus assists in a season.

Mitchell was the perfect complementary force, pouring in 28 points of her own. Whenever Clark drew double-teams, the four-time All-Star attacked the open space, making Seattle pay for every defensive rotation.

The offensive onslaught wasn’t limited to these two.
Monique Billings stepped up and offered a crucial interior presence, recording 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Sophie Cunningham added 11 points off the bench, helping Indiana cross the 100-point mark for a league-record 12th time this season. As a team, the Fever were flawless from the free-throw line, sinking 26 of 26 attempts.
Despite the loss, the Storm found a silver lining in Natisha Hiedeman’s performance, as she kept Seattle within striking distance for much of the game, erupting for 33 points.
While Seattle (6-24) is now bogged down with a seven-game losing streak and trying to salvage a difficult season, the Fever camp is brimming with confidence and cementing its title contender status with each win.
