Sedona Prince’s Net Worth and Career Earnings: How Much Money Has the WNBA Prospect Made?

TCU forward Sedona Prince captivated the public both on and off the court. What is the outlook of Prince's career earnings and net worth?

After playing her first two years at the University of Oregon and returning home to play two seasons at TCU, former TCU forward Sedona Prince established herself as a player to watch. Prince averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game throughout her collegiate career.

After being a household name even before her year at Oregon, how did this impact the future WNBA draft prospects’ NIL value and brand authority?

How Much Are Sedona Prince’s NIL Worth?

Before transferring to TCU, Prince was at Oregon, guiding the Ducks to several deep tournament runs. According to SI.com, her 22-point, five-rebound, four-block performance against Georgia helped lead Oregon to the Sweet 16 in 2021.

“We wanted to show today that we are not the team to be messed with,” she said. “We wanted to come out and show that we’re gonna play harder than you, and we’re gonna want it more than you.”

Prince has advocated for equal opportunities in college sports since the early 2020s. In a viral TikTok video, she exposed the disparities between the men’s and women’s NCAA tournamentswhich caught the attention of the now-president of the NBA Players Association, CJ McCollum.

“I’ve seen it. I saw some of the pictures that were tweeted—Sabrina [Ionescu] tweeted something, and I retweeted it. It’s disrespectful, it’s unfair, and I think it’s symbolic of how society continues to disrespect women and, in some cases, minorities. There’s a lot that needs to change,” said McCollum.

“Excuses are often made based on the amount of money generated in certain sports, but when you’re talking about the NCAA Tournament—money is being generated. You’re staying in a hotel. The least you can do is provide adequate training facilities.”

Prince also played a significant role in the 2020 class action lawsuit against the NCAA after a law firm discovered that she couldn’t monetize her social media authority to help pay her medical bills.

Prince and swimmer Grant House sued the NCAA, demanding compensation for the lost revenue from television and the potential earnings from social media. The Supreme Court made it clear in 2021 that the NCAA cannot limit benefits related to education.

After the ruling, Prince secured over 20 NIL deals with companies such as  The Flying T Club, Wildfang, Frosted Flakes, Buick (brand ambassador), Door Dash, Crocs, Uninterrupted, Fortnite, Native, DIRECTV, MTV Pop Star, Taco Bell, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. According to On3, Prince is sitting at a $358,000 NIL valuation.

Prince’s Net Worth

What impact do the brand deals have on her net worth? Sportskeeda estimates that Prince’s will be worth an estimated $2 million by January 2024. Her basketball earnings, NIL deals, and continued advocacy for women’s athletics are all part of that.

However, Prince’s NIL capabilities when she turns pro will likely increase with more endorsement deals and investment opportunities. She will be able to continue building generational wealth and advocating for change.
