Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese Showdown Ignites WNBA World

The WNBA world wasted no time sharing an array of observations from Clark and Reese’s latest showdown, with some enjoying their battle while others picked nits.

Hoop Central’s X account posted a clip of Clark dribbling behind her back before converting a pull-up 3-pointer, writing, “CAITLIN CLARK IS COOKING. PUTTING ON A SHOW.”

Barstool Sports similarly shared Clark’s viral triple, captioning it, “The Caitlin Clark Show is must-see television.”

One influencer gushed over Clark’s offensive highlights, writing, “Caitlin Clark from deep, then drops a dime omg.”

However, another shared Clark seemingly trying to draw a foul against the Dream, likening her to Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander by joking, “Caitlin Clark tells SGA to hold her beer.”

House of Lowlights didn’t hold back by contrasting Reese airballing a 3-pointer to Clark responding by drilling a long-range shot on the other end. The account quipped, “The difference between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark in 10 seconds.”

BrickCenter also shared a clip of Reese not even making contact with the rim on her 3-point attempt, writing, “ANGEL REESE WIDE OPEN 3.”

SiriusXM host Robin Lundberg offered some pointed comments about Reese’s performance. Lundberg posted, “I feel like Angel Reese should be coached on her ability around the basket rather than taking outside shots. Her shooting 3s does the defense a favor.”

An influencer also took a shot at Reese’s rough 3-point attempt, questioning, “What does Angel Reese work on in the offseason?”

Another noted how the Amazon Prime announcers calling the Dream-Fever game seemed to be overly positive about Reese’s uneven play, writing, “‘Angel Reese is leading the W in rebounding’ ‘Look at her run the floor!!’ The broadcast was glazing Angel Reese, and she immediately misses a point-blank layup.”

Following Thursday’s victory, Clark improved to 5-1 against Reese in their young careers, furthering what has been a lopsided rivalry thus far.
