Nike A’One Price, Release Date, Colorways, and More: All About A’ja Wilson’s Latest Signature Shoes

“My signature shoe is everything I need, engineered for my game and my style, and built to motivate the next generation to go big,” said A’ja Wilson about her Nike A’One shoe.

While the NBA has long dominated the sneaker scene, the WNBA is now stepping up in a major way. From Breanna Stewart’s Puma Stewie line to Sabrina Ionescu’s Nike Sabrina series, WNBA stars are leaving their footprint in sneaker history.

Now, Wilson is set to make her mark with the Nike A’One, her first-ever signature shoe. Announced by Nike and Wilson in February, the A’One will arrive in May 2025, bringing a bold new chapter to women’s basketball footwear.

A’ja Wilson’s Journey to Nike Stardom

Wilson’s relationship with Nike began during her rookie year with the Las Vegas Aces which is 2018. However, the WNBA veteran shook the women’s basketball community last December after she signed a record-breaking contract extension with the Swoosh.

While specific financial details of Wilson’s deal remain confidential, NBA insider Shams Charania reported that she signed a six-year extension, making it one of the richest shoe deals for a women’s basketball player.

Wilson’s contract extension was a strong signal that she was on track for a signature shoe. When the A’One launch was officially announced on Feb. 4, 2025, Wilson joined an elite group of female athletes with signature basketball shoes, including Caitlin Clark and Ionescu.

The Engineering Excellence of Nike A’One

The Nike A’One isn’t just another basketball shoe but a technical marvel specifically engineered for Wilson’s explosive playing style. Featuring Nike’s cutting-edge Cushlon ST2 foam alongside a strong base, the A’One balances comfort and responsiveness.

Another unique aspect of the A’One is its storytelling elements. The shoe is designed for dynamic movement, featuring a reimagined traction pattern that allows for precise cuts, pivots, and lateral motion. A supportive insole and breathable mesh upper provide a locked-in feel, ensuring stability and comfort on the court.

“The A’One is meant to go the distance, taking control from the jump and dominating the floor on every play,” said Wilson via Nike’s press release.

“From the beginning, we designed the shoe to both support my game and to provide young hoopers a tool to help them level up. The A’One aces that assignment, delivering exactly what I need to push my performance and inspiring the next generation to give it their all on every play.”

Beyond performance, the A’One carries deeply personal details reflecting Wilson’s journey. The shoe features a nod to her childhood pearl necklace from her grandmother, symbolizing both her grandmother’s strength and her own ability to endure. Additionally, Wilson incorporated Celtic symbols for “mom” and “dad” into the design, honoring her parents as her fundamental strength.

Nike Organizes Tour To Promote Wilson’s Shoes at Select Cities

Athletes experience a major career achievement once they earn their signature shoe which acts as evidence of their court and public impact. Wilson has earned this achievement by launching the Nike A’One sneaker after winning MVP three times. Nike scheduled the A’One “Pre-Heat” Tour to tour several cities before launching the official signature footwear in order to build more excitement about the release.

The A’One “Pre-Heat” Tour kicked off on March 16 at Foot Locker in Columbia, S.C., honoring Wilson’s hometown roots. The second stop is set for March 22 at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Las Vegas, the city where Wilson cemented her legacy with the Aces.

The tour will conclude on April 3 at Nike Tampa in Florida, giving fans one final chance to experience the sneaker ahead of its wider release. Each stop offers exclusive opportunities for fans to engage with Wilson’s signature shoe and celebrate her journey to this career-defining moment.

In a notable display of support, NBA star Bam Adebayo — Wilson’s boyfriend — wore the Nike A’One during a game between the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets. This gesture provided the sneaker with significant visibility on an NBA platform, underscoring the growing recognition of women’s basketball and the unity within the basketball community.

The A’One “Pre-Heat” Tour, combined with endorsements from prominent athletes like Adebayo, exemplifies Nike’s commitment to celebrating Wilson’s achievements and promoting the upcoming release of her signature sneaker.
