Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark revealed which NBA player she watches the most. While the WNBA has taken off and become more globally popular in recent years, women’s basketball players still watch the NBA, as players from the men’s league continue to inspire them.

Apparently, Clark is a huge fan of Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić. She recently revealed one major aspect of Dončić’s game that she has learned from and is trying to incorporate into her own.

The New York Knicks took on the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. Before the marquee matchup, NBC debuted its pregame show called “Basketball Night in America.” The show featured several NBA legends, including Reggie Miller, Carmelo Anthony, Jamal Crawford, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady.

While it was NBA night on Sunday, NBC invited WNBA phenom Clark as a guest contributor for the show. Her impact on women’s basketball has undoubtedly made her popular despite having played only two seasons in the WNBA.

During the broadcast, pregame show host Maria Taylor asked Clark which NBA player she watches most often. Taylor then asked the Fever star whether there were aspects of his game she had added to her bag of tricks.

Clark named Lakers star Dončić as the NBA player she watches the most. The Fever star explained how impressed she is by the Slovenian superstar, noting how efficient his game is despite his slower movements compared to other players.

Clark also revealed that she is trying to take inspiration from Dončić’s ability to avoid contact despite facing multiple defenders.

“I think Luka,” Clark said. “Luka is amazing, and he’s incredible. I think the way that he can not only score the ball but also the way he passes. I think the thing about him is like he’s not the fastest, he’s not the most athletic, but he can get his defender to move wherever he wants him to go.”

“I think that’s something I can certainly learn from,” Clark added. “I always kind of want to run away from the defense rather than absorbing the contact, taking up the space that they give me.”

Clark’s appearance on NBC on Sunday will not be the last time she appears as a guest on the show. Clark is set to make another guest appearance on March 25.
