Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston delivered a career-best performance Tuesday night, dropping 31 points to lift her team to a crucial 94-86 road win over the Seattle Storm. Boston’s dominant scoring effort was key as Indiana evened its record at 7-7, regaining momentum a quarter of the way through the WNBA season. Her big night, paired with strong shooting from teammate Kelsey Mitchell, fueled the Fever’s showing at Climate Pledge Arena.
Aliyah Boston’s Historic Night Powers the Fever Past Storm
Boston was nearly unstoppable in Seattle. The Fever forward scored 31 points and added eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Despite picking up two early fouls and sitting much of the first quarter, she didn’t commit another foul the rest of the night. Her 31-point performance set a new career high, surpassing the 30 she scored against the Atlanta Dream last season.
Fans quickly recognized Boston’s impact in the win, heading to social media to show love. One fan wrote, “She saved CC lol,” referencing teammate Caitlin Clark’s struggles.

Mitchell also chipped in with 26 points. Lexie Hull (15 points) and Damiris Dantas (10 points) rounded out Indiana’s balanced offense. The Fever led most of the night, briefly trailing in the first quarter but controlling the pace from halftime on, despite a late push from Seattle led by Skylar Diggins.
Caitlin Clark’s Shooting Slump Continues, But Her Playmaking Holds Steady
While Boston shined, Clark’s struggles continued. With only six points, it marked her third straight rough shooting game. Her slump remains a concern for Indiana, even as the team trends upward.
Still, Clark stayed active as a playmaker. She dished out nine assists and helped set up looks for Boston and Mitchell. Head coach Stephanie White has said the team would focus on getting Clark “better looks, higher quality looks,” and Clark has acknowledged the slump while saying she’s focused on contributing in other ways.
It was the second time in three games that Clark didn’t hit a 3-pointer, rare for the No. 1 overall pick who rewrote college records with her range. But Indiana has found ways to win with others stepping up.
The Fever next host the Sparks, then head into the Commissioner’s Cup final on July 1 against the Minnesota Lynx, where Boston’s form could be the difference.
