The Chicago Sky are gearing up for what could be a season to remember, with fresh energy and unfinished business on their minds. After a tough 2024 season that ended with a devastating (87–54) loss to the Connecticut Sun last September, knocking them out of playoff contention, the Sky are hungrier than ever.
One major boost for Chicago is Angel Reese. Reese has already made waves in 2025 by helping lead Rose BC to a championship in the inaugural season of the Unrivaled Basketball League. Now she’s bringing that championship mentality to the WNBA stage.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Sky’s preseason matchups, regular season schedule, key games, ticket information, and how you can catch all the action.
Chicago Sky Preseason Schedule
The Sky will get their 2025 season started with a preseason matchup against the Brazilian national basketball team on May 2 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. After that, they’ll return home to face the Minnesota Lynx at Wintrust Arena on May 6.
To wrap up their preseason, the Sky will head to the Target Center on May 10 for a rematch against the Lynx. These three games will give fans an early look at the team’s new lineup before the regular season officially tips off.

Chicago Sky Key Matchups
Chicago made some exciting additions through the 2025 WNBA Draft, picking up Hailey Van Lith, Maddy Westbeld, Jessika Carter, Sammie Puisis, and Tilly Bole, who will bring even more energy and competition to the league this year.
One of the biggest games to watch will be the season opener against the Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. When these two teams met in June 2024, the game pulled in massive numbers, becoming the most-watched WNBA game in 23 years with an average viewership of 2.252 million on CBS. With so much excitement around both teams again this year, this matchup promises to be exciting.
Another game fans won’t want to miss is on July 24 when the Sky face the Storm. It will be a special moment as Van Lith and Madison Conner — two former TCU teammates who helped lead their college to the Elite Eight — meet for the first time as pros.
Chicago Sky Ticketing, Channels, and Streaming Options
Fans can get their tickets for Sky games through the team’s official website, where there are plenty of options to choose from. Whether you’re looking for season tickets, group deals, premium seating, or just want to catch a single game, there’s something for everyone.
If you can’t make it to the arena, you can still catch all the action on major networks like ESPN, Disney, ABC, CBS, and ION. For fans who prefer streaming or don’t have cable, games will also be available on Prime Video and NBA TV, making it easy to follow the Sky all season long.
Why does everybody want to believe that angel reese will save the chicago sky. it is never going to happen. i do not care who they have on their team, nobody can see past caitlin clark. every player out there has an agenda to upstage, out play or injure her instead of concentrating on the game.
